Libel law protects individuals or organisations from unwarranted, mistaken or untruthful attacks on their reputation. A person is libelled if a publication:
* Exposes them to hatred, ridicule or contempt
* Causes them to be shunned or avoided
* Discredits them in their trade, business or profession
* Generally lowers them in the eyes of right thinking members of society
With that said, once again I'll remind people to ensure they have their facts correct when critising something. I've held my tongue through most of this bloody ordeal, but starting with the allegations that pie 'stole' MN's database back when all this started to just out right attacks on pie's character is getting too much for me to bear.
So, I'll say this again... If you would like to come over to MO, we'd love to have you. If you don't like it, that's fine... We know we don't accommodate everyone as everyone has different tastes. So, unless you are sure of what you saying, please stop making assumptions based on a select few opinions.
Cod you were never banned, you signed up on Feb 24th 2004, you did not post in 90 days. As part of our effort to keep the site, and people's posts, as secure as possible, we disable accounts of anyone who hasn't posted in 90 days. This limits the amount of lurkers we have on the site, and allows us a better record of who can see what incase something happens.

So, you were not banned, you were deactivated due to inactivity. Hope this clears up some of the confusion.

They banned 4 MNers, Sabian said so, we wondered who the other 3 were (after Toothache) - now it's down to 2 - who else upset pie all those years ago? *
###############
For the record (again), I said that 4 people were banned........... in total, not just from MN. I did not say from MN, whoever thought that made an assumption based again on mis-information/etc. Toothache was one (and judging by her response to the news on the thread that was deleted 3 minutes later, was justified), the others had to do with inappropriate activity on MumsOnline and were not MN'ers.
So, again, I kindly request that this 'feud' be put to bed. I do not wish to continue to hear my wife's online venture, or her character, bad mouthed. When this all started last year, I 'buried the hatchet' and let things be... If you would have told me that 16+ month later I'd still be having the same argument, trying to put right what mis-information/rumour/lies put asunder, I would have said you were crazy. I'll attempt to do this again. If you like our site, fantastic, all are welcome and all are invited. If you do not like our site, that's great too... Stay where you are comfortable as that is what we wanted in the first place... To have a place where people feel comfortable and 'safe' (or as well as you can be online anyway)...
Thank you for time and see around (or maybe not)...
