Oh no, rosa re minirosa! Get her checked tomorrow, I'm sure they'll see her.
The Mumsnetter you mentioned didn't move here at the end, but moved to germany at the end.
But there's plenty of Mnetters in switzerland I think. And we are here MM!!!

HAve done the packing - leaving dh with a casa to tidy up .. Ci sentiamo from sunny (????) England.

francagoestohollywood · 09/07/2009 13:32

Oh wow, your doctor is lovely rosa . Hope you are having a stress free trip to the UK and will report back soon on how are the dds etc.
I had a look at the weather forecast in C and it doesn't look that great. Overcast and max temp 20 degrees. I'm contemplating wearing tights

OP posts:
DamonBradleylovesPippi · 09/07/2009 13:42

today is def a tights day

francagoestohollywood · 09/07/2009 14:30

Oh dear, really? What kind of tights would I wear with e blue silk dress? Oh dear, oh dear

OP posts:
DamonBradleylovesPippi · 09/07/2009 14:50

prob the invisible one...

francagoestohollywood · 09/07/2009 15:51

no, not the color carne

OP posts:
Sputnik · 09/07/2009 16:27

You could go for 15 denier black I reckon.
Do you have a link to the dress? [nosy]

francagoestohollywood · 09/07/2009 16:56

I will try to find a link, but it is a dress I bought in 2006... hang on

OP posts:
francagoestohollywood · 09/07/2009 17:10

No, I cannot find it. It is a diane von furstenberg blue dress, but it wasn't in the fashion show, so I don't know where to find a pic.

OP posts:
Sputnik · 09/07/2009 17:33

I'm impressed!
I would think tights unnecessary at 20°, but I'm the opposite of freddolosa.

francagoestohollywood · 09/07/2009 17:36

Yes, it is a beautiful dress, well worth recycling. What I worry about is that 20 degrees is during the day, so it can easily go down at night. And I'm freddolosa! I'll put tight in my bag

OP posts:
Sputnik · 09/07/2009 18:29

Yes you might encounter the famous Siberian wind. Better safe than sorry.

McCloudsextoy · 09/07/2009 20:22

is it a typical von furstenberg dress? sort of wrap around? definetely tights day, but you do realise you will be the only one wearing tights...you will have to send pic of you wearing the dress! [super ficcanaso emoticon]

Penthesileia · 09/07/2009 22:55

Just catching up:

Rosa - hope miniRosa is ok.

Yes, Sputnik is wise: beware Siberian wind - it was quite cool today in Cambridge, though no rain, amazingly.

MM - sorry about Geneva, if it's not what you want. Have you decided to do an MA/MBA?

LOL @ Bucharest - snap Pippi, no doctor looked at me either! In the UK the doctors are only interested if you're about to drop dead. And maybe not even then...

BRANGELINA!!! Hello! Nice to hear from you. Sorry you've got such a lot on your plate/

francagoestohollywood · 10/07/2009 09:05

Sputnik!

Bloody siberian wind, it was the bane of my life!
Actually, I think Milan is sort of benefitting from this perturbazione as we are having days of perfect weather, warm but not sticky hot and quite cool at night.

Mccloud. No, it is not a typical wrap dress. It looks more Alberta Ferretti iyswim... so, won't look particularly good with tights, but I refuse to morire di freddo.

This means i should go out and buy a pair of tights... (lazy)

francagoestohollywood · 10/07/2009 09:14

Sput, forgot to ask, did you get my email with address?

OP posts:
Camomilla · 10/07/2009 09:29

Franca, you know me, always cannottiera della salute on , so definetly tights, and maybe some cool wellies too!

Pippi, consultant checked me when I was already overdue with DS (failed sweep), otherwise no-one checked til labour (and wished they hadn't with DD as it was the worse pain of all and they failed to see she was the "wrong" way anyway!)

Rosa, hope miniR is ok.

we got a letter from DS school telling us there's swine flu in the school, keeping my fingers crossed as it's his b-day party next sat (which cost a fortune for us) and then we're flying in 2 weeks! What's the situation in italy? I brought them laringitis last year, don't really want to bring this too...

francagoestohollywood · 10/07/2009 09:36

Will bring a pancera camo

Not sure what the situation is in italy with regards to swine flu. As I posted on another thread, it's not talked about that much. There is the odd interview with various virologists in newspapers who sdrammatizzano a lot.
Boh, perhaps berlusconi is in denial about this matter as well (you know he reckons there is no economic recession...)

OP posts:
francagoestohollywood · 10/07/2009 09:37

Yes, I only had one internal examination when pg with dd (I had ds in italy), I was 7 cm dilated and gave birth 1 hr later .
I wasn't given that many in italy too, I have to say.
