McCloudismynewnameforawhile · 08/05/2009 11:21

pmsl at the flower clutch! what a weird bag.

francagoestohollywood · 08/05/2009 11:33
Grin
Penthesileia · 08/05/2009 11:47

I quite like the Fab Occasion Dress in purple, actually. Is that irredeemably bad?

What I hate about the Boden site is the stupid names for all the clothes. WTF?

franca - back away from the bag. It is HIDEOUS!

francagoestohollywood · 08/05/2009 11:53

Yes, the fab whatever dress is quite nice and look!!! The bag goes really well with it !

gio71 · 08/05/2009 12:14

can I ask a quick off subject question? How many times can you reheat chicken brodo safely?

Camomilla · 08/05/2009 12:33

I like that dress too, but not the price. very nice in black or green too

gio, no idea, sorry

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 08/05/2009 12:52

no idea here either. never do real chicken brodo .

Rosa · 08/05/2009 13:28

I would have thought a couple of times GIo to be honest - I have done it anyway !
Love that outfit Franca but not spending £22 on minirosa. I have just sent Eu200 in prenatal and dh doesn't know yet - I had to bancomat it as well ! I bought the travel bag for the bee as I will need it in the Uk - am there for 2 months plus a sun hood ( silver Uva one) for the bee a bra and a toy !
I would have been cheaper to buy a second hand buggy off e bay and leave it here !...Oh well I hope I can re sell it in a couple of years time !!!
How are teh flu babes doing ?

OP posts:
francagoestohollywood · 08/05/2009 13:37

Gio, mum says you can re heat it as much as you like, but not to keep the brodo for longer than 2/3 days anyway.

Rosa, see, you are a wise woman. Me, I'd have forked on the outfit and skipped on the sun hood ... . I used to hang an old lenzuolino to the hood of the carrozzina with mollette to keep the dc in the shade .

Camomilla · 08/05/2009 14:17

franca, I do the lenzuolino trick too...

DD's still all blocked up, so between her waking up every 2mins, my backache, my throbbing elbow & shoulder (thanks to playing tennis on the wii ) I am (day)dreaming of a good night's sleep... and the weather's been soooooooooooooooooo miserable...

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 08/05/2009 15:45

not so miserable this side of london.

question to those in italy: do kids in our bit of the world still eat pane e nutella per merenda? It is done among my friends in pg and I occasionally do it here too - for example when dd tired, or when playdates here etc. She never asks.
I'm asking because I'm sitting here with one panino and a cup of tea - I was about to faint and all I can dream of was this. I already feel better . also I did give dd1 some choc before gymnbastics as last week she could hardly listen to the teacher let alone do the things. what an improvement! She was full of beans.

So I ask you, was it just a think of the 70s?

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 08/05/2009 16:28

BTW dd1 has been invited to her first McDonald's party. shall I start a new thread about it?

francagoestohollywood · 08/05/2009 19:05

Yes, pane and nutella is very much a typical merenda in my neck of the woods. Dd has it for breakfast, usually.

As for McD's parties... blimey, a Mcd's party for a 4 yr old? ... OK lets calm down. Ds in the UK went to KFC for his best friend birthday and he still dreams about it . She'll be fine.

Camomilla · 08/05/2009 21:39

pippi, we had earl grey tea and pane e nutella the other day while we were doing the gardening - DS, DP and I! yummm is all I can say. DS has it sometimes for merenda when he's back from school, for breakfast at w-end.

McD party? wow, DS would be over the moon! no golden arches escape his attention . we take him occasionally - OMG, after this confession I'll surely be banned from MN...

francagoestohollywood · 08/05/2009 21:50

Don't worry camo, I occasionally treat ds to a Mcd (though I prefer burger kind) after his swimming pool (he finishes at 7).

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 08/05/2009 22:09

I never go to McD! Because I prefer burger king too . Having said that I only fancy it twice a year really so there's never been the occasion to take dd. I am not snobbish about it as she gets rubbish food sometimes at home too. I am only in a pickle re what she might like as must to pre order - any suggetions?
I'm sure she'll have a good time, mainly because all girls in her class will be there.

Camo, McM, MM don't you feel back home with all this expences scandal ?

francagoestohollywood · 08/05/2009 22:27

Get her fries and chicken nuggets. That is what mine have, as they don't like hamburgers

Camomilla · 08/05/2009 22:51

pippi, that's what I was saying to DP, it's all the same everywere you go....

DS used to only have plain hamburger (he doesn't like ketchup or pickles), he's recently discovered chicken nuggets though, and chips of course.

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 09/05/2009 05:48

Last week or so I've been really tired i.e. napping in the aft which never happens, I seem to want to eat a lot and sleep very badly. Please do tell me that you can have all the above for any other reason than being pg ! That will be quite inconvenient atm (very big understatement!).
