Okay, I'm looking at private schools as a plan B in case dd1 doesn't get a place anywhere decent and until a place comes up from those the waiting list.

You can tell the difference in that when you call they are all very 'disponibili' to show around etc. What a bit of cash can do eh . i've got 3 apt already and 3 prospectus on the way. They are all very local too which helps.

I sincerely hope we do not have to revert to this tbh as I wouldn't like her to have to change schools and pay all that money after we moved here for the good state schools galore. I am so tempted to run over all these children who every morning I see going to my local schools.

Pippi, I so understand your wanting to run over swathes of state school children - when DD din0t get in first time around I fantasised about how to eliminate 21 children so she could be first on the list. Someone might have suspected something was up though.
