Helloo! Am I splitting up? Must go read the gossipy papers, I'm so out of touch.
The Leeds castle not being in Leeds always used to annoy me too. These things are sent to confuse us.
Is my DD the only one who didn't have a girello then? I hate them, they remind me of daleks imo, or at least my work colleague's child always looked a bit like Davros in it. I think the reson for not using them is nothing to do with walking sooner of later, but the risk that they don't appoggiare bene i piedi when they do start walking, plus something to do with hips. Boh. Davros baby walked at 10mo but then they discovered she was putting her weight down wrong on her ankles so she had to wear special shoes for a couple of years. This is a child of a very boastful mum, so I must admit I did feel a bit smug at the time.
Agree with Franca that there are a lot of figli di papà in Milan too, in a couple of places I worked that were conduzione familiare the prole had been to expensive private schools and the ones who had failed the Italian system got sent to American schools, then an Amercian University in Switzerland. I had to check the tesi of one who had studied economics at this wondrous American Uni and it was like reading something written byt a 10yo. He still got a degree though.
Crap weather today, reminds me of the UK. I went out this moorning and got loads done - poste, documenti, checked the graduatoria for the centri estivi. DD's got a place in July and September (yay!) but is in lista d'attesa for August (boo hiss!). They're thinking of expanding the numbers though as apparently the whole of Monza applied.
