(her DH rang me tonight) and is feeling pretty low and fed up , so I was thinking it would be lovely if lots of people could send her cards and stuff to help cheer her up.

It will have to be via me so please will anyone who wants to send something email me at holden_ jan at hotmail dot com and I'll send you my address, then I can send her a nice bundle

Grrrr! Typical of our local postal non-service! I posted it on a Friday afternoon and way before the last delivery was collected.

Does anyone know how Bunglie is?

WigWamBam · 04/05/2005 11:41

Last I heard she was quite poorly, but I haven't heard in a week or so. JanH might know ...

WigWamBam · 04/05/2005 14:10

BFHB - any news, Jan?

Janh · 04/05/2005 14:16

Oh, dear, sorry, girls - I got an update from her DH last night but got distracted before I could post and then forgot, am really losing my grip you know

Anyway the big problem turns out to be because she has been using Entonox at home as a painkiller for several months; it's not supposed to be used regularly and has affected her nerves in some way. It is reversible, they think, but will probably take a while. Meanwhile she is stuck in bed, can't move very much and sleeps a lot; but she is already a bit better than she was last week so that's a good sign.

She has been thrilled with all the cards she's had and sends her love to everybody .

Oh, poor Bunglie. At least she's a bit better than she was, which has to be a start.

Thanks for the update, Jan.

WigWamBam · 04/05/2005 14:47

I think I shall send another, hopefully lots of new cards would cheer her up.

Bunglie's DH rang again last night - the problem was definitely caused by the entonox and recovery will take weeks if not months . She will have to stay in the big county hospital for a while, but may then be able to move to the smaller local one which would be much nicer for her.

On the bright side she is herself again (he said it makes visiting time a lot easier!) and has much more use of her hands now - although her vision is poor at the best of times so she can't really read.

Got your card and sent it on, WWB, thank you

How can I send a card, Jan?

Janh · 13/05/2005 11:04

I'm away for a week from tomorrow, suedonim, but WWB and Kanga are taking over as Bunglie-mailboxes (I have emailed them but don't know if they will have seen those yet, hope they check email before they come on here!) so please CAT either or both - thank you!
