Well that was my response - what do you think?

A couple of friends of mine are going on a girls night out tonight with a group of Mums from their child's nursery (not mine so I'm not going) - one of the mothers, also one of my friends, has a 9 week old dd and is breastfeeding so she is taking her with her

Please - who would take their 2 month old baby on a girls night out to a posh restaurant?? And it's not about the fact that she'd be bfing her in a restaurant btw, but what about the other mums in the group and all the other diners who have gone for a night out only to find a baby in the place?!

Madness and tbh if I was going I'd be pretty peed off.

Exactly, JimJams, that's what i'm saying. If you must wear a thing, stay at home!

I suppose it'd come down to what sort of girls night out it is - if its a very civilised meal in a resturante then i'd think she was mad but would go along with it (although if i was another diner on another table and the baby was screaming its head of id be really annoyed) but if its a girls night out which is the getting pissed and really letting your hair down type of thing then i wouldnt like it, how can you be spontainious with a baby around?

Just a quickie.... JimJams, re 'me, me, me time. Why did you have children?!' Surely this is a joke ? To suggest that a mum who wants a bit of child-free time with her friends once in a while is somehow shirking her parental responsibility or indeed suggests that she never should've had kids in the first place, is very, very unfair.

wanders off tutting

Coddy, I find that number 4 can apply to so many threads on MN

I might just post "number four" in a brazen, yet enigmatic kinda way. Esp on baby pasta threads
