OP posts:

About to start The End of Mr Y for daytime/early evening

... also reading At Knit's End (a knitting book)

... looking through Charmed Knits (Harry Potter inspired knits)

... my in-bed book (one that is very easy to read with no thought involved and doesn't matter if I fall asleep with it on my face (happens far too frequently for my liking)) is James Herriot one (can't even remember the title )

Berrie · 03/03/2009 07:50

Middlemarch is still on the shelf....

Berrie · 03/03/2009 07:52

Guess what guess what! They are going to film a David Tennant's Hamlet to preserve it for posterity (and for all those people who thought they were going to see him no doubt)I'm very much looking forward to that!

oggsdog · 03/03/2009 09:03

Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh.

How? When? How did you find out?

oggsdog · 03/03/2009 09:06
Berrie · 03/03/2009 09:17

It was in the Telegraph, filming in June.

LyraSilvertongue · 03/03/2009 11:07

Here Oggs

LyraSilvertongue · 03/03/2009 11:15

What are we all up to today? I'm having an easy morning then I'm off to Matalan for new pyjamas for DS2. He's got a pyjama day at school coming up and all the ones he owns are a bit tatty.
Then to B&Q to buy a doorbell, then Asda for food. DS has a friend round for tea after school and the fridge is empty.
Oh, and tidy up.
Very dull really

Berrie · 03/03/2009 11:56

DS has a friend round for tea tomorrow night. It is the first time. I'm having to tidy upstairs which is usually visitor free. Should I move the soft toys from his room and casually arrange his Dr Who and Ben10 stuff? Or am I being silly? I might shove them away, he has never played with them in his whole life! DD is magic painting and still managing to make a proper mess.
I'm going to a friends this afternoon for and hour before fetching ds from school, feeding them then I'm out to work. Booooo.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 03/03/2009 12:17

Damn you Berrie, I was going to spill about DT.

Berrie · 03/03/2009 12:45

Tee hee hee.

Am organising a trip to see MFL'sF in Joseph. I reeeeaaally don't want to see Joseph again but twill be fun seeing MFL'sF. Trouble is he's coming closest at the end of June and that's probably when we'll go away. There was one fairly near in April but there has been a fire at the Theatre so that is looking doubtful. What to do, what to doooo...

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 03/03/2009 14:08

I'm debating whether to see the Witches of Eastwick in Truro this week. Starring Marti Pellow. A bit more interesting than Joseph I suspect.

LyraSilvertongue · 03/03/2009 15:10

Don't shove away the soft toys Berrie. Every five-year-old boy's bedroom I've been in had had soft toys alongside the cars and tanks and swords.
As well as today's I've got a double playdate tomorrow (two brothers in the DSs' classes coming to play). Four boys in the house - what was I thinking!

LyraSilvertongue · 03/03/2009 15:14

m bloody fuming
I had all four tyres on the car changed on Friday and one of them is bloody flat already. Grrr. Someone's gonna pay for this.

Btw, I just posted the above on the wrong thread.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 03/03/2009 15:22

Yikes Lyra, how did that happen?

Berrie · 03/03/2009 15:38

4 boys Rather you than me. Good idea to do both dc at the same time. Dd really likes Ds's friend but he won't even answer her when she talks to him (he has only brothers)I suspect that she will follow them round and they will be cruel to her.

LyraSilvertongue · 03/03/2009 16:40

Which bit Zeb, the boys, the tyre or the posting on the wrong thread?

LyraSilvertongue · 03/03/2009 16:41

They're destroying the house
And DS2 stepped in a filthy drain on the way home and his uniform trousers and shoes are soaked in stinking ming water. They're soaking in Dettol in the bath.

Berrie · 04/03/2009 07:42

Oh dear...Berrie trembles with anticipation for tonight. What time did you send them home?

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 04/03/2009 09:53

I bet they never made it home. My money's on Lyra burying them under the patio. Wait until tonight's evening news. You'll see.

Berrie · 04/03/2009 12:35

They'd better not wreck my house, I've been tidying up for ages for this small boys visit.
Right off to nosh a Creme egg without dd spotting me!

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 04/03/2009 15:55

I've banned DS from creme eggs. He sees them, he wants them, but he can't have them - I've seen the damage he can do with a simple bag of chocolate buttons, just imagine the carnage of a creme egg.

Berrie · 04/03/2009 16:16

having scrubbed the house from top to toe the little visitor has just declared that we have a very messy garden.

LyraSilvertongue · 04/03/2009 17:23

Little visitor went home at 6. the house wasn't too bad afterwards. I've got four tonight and it's going fine so far. It helps that two of them are 6 and a little bit more sensible. they too are going home at 6.
My bathroom arrived today but I haven't sorted out anyone to fit it. So it's sat in the front room and probably will for some time.

LyraSilvertongue · 04/03/2009 17:24

I spoke too soon. I found them clambering all over the new bathroom so I had to shout a little bit.
