How many threads is this now?

OP posts:
EdwardCullensWife · 17/04/2009 21:25

I'm worried about her now...

EdwardCullensWife · 17/04/2009 21:26

So the delectable Mr Cullen hasn't cured you of your DT fixation then?

Berrie · 17/04/2009 21:31

I think I texted last time she went missing with no reply. Someone got her on the e-mail in the end.

oggsfrog · 18/04/2009 08:08

That was me back in November. Trouble is the email address I have was linked to her job I think...
No response to the text.

Should I give her a poke on FB? or do you think she'll come back if and when she's ready and will not appreciate being poked and prodded?

Of course Edward hasn't cured me of my DT fixation Lyra. Tsk. You think I'm that fickle?

EdwardCullensWife · 18/04/2009 10:07

Have a look at her last status update on Facebook. Cryptic...

oggsfrog · 18/04/2009 11:51

She had a friend and her family coming to stay that weekend and was planning a few drinks I think is all.

Maybe she just got hijacked by real life and is having a ball?

EdwardCullensWife · 18/04/2009 12:25

Hope you're right Oggs. What are you doing today? DP is attacking the huge mess that is the bedrooms and he's sulking because instead of helping him I had a long soak in the bath. I've got a cold. That's my excuse, anyway.

Berrie · 18/04/2009 13:17

Oh me too..horrid sore throat...my worst thing. We were meant to be down your way today Lyra seeing my new niece but I don't wnat to pass on my germs.

Did you enjoy your day out Oggs?

EdwardCullensWife · 18/04/2009 20:29

Berrie, it just struck me that that Twilight thread was started by someone who hadn't read it yet and we filled it with spoilers. Oops!

EdwardCullensWife · 19/04/2009 02:01

Lordy, is that the time? I've been watching Muse clips on YouTube.
W.O.W is all I've got to say on that.
I meant to go to bed by midnight...

oggsfrog · 19/04/2009 08:28

Lyra, that's why I stopped reading the thread; there were spoilers. I only realised after I read a couple .

Well, what's everyone up to on this bright and sunny day?

Berrie · 19/04/2009 10:59

Sorry Oggs

Er...nursing my sore throat. Nipping up to allotment soon but not really feeling up to it.

EdwardCullensWife · 19/04/2009 12:53

Yet more painting this morning (still the bathroom - one coat of undercoat then two top coats. Ugh). Taking DS2 to a birthday party this afternoon and may slip off to the riverside pub for a drink with some of the other mums while he's there.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 19/04/2009 15:11

Hello Ladies! I'm back. Many apologies, but I've been at my parents and generally busy stuff . And, errm, yes, my mobile AND my email have both changed.

So what's been happening? Are we all still in love with DT and Edward Cullen? Am I forgiven if I say that I have now read ALL of the books and bought the DVD? And I saw this in Waterstones Oggs. I think it's another must buy. Although I'm buying this Personally, Hugh Jackman on Jonathan Ross the other night still works for me.

EdwardCullensWife · 19/04/2009 19:01

Zeb, you're back! I was beginning to think you'd been abducted by aliens.
What did you think of Breaking Dawn?
Yes still in love with DT and EC but I'm also now in love with Matthew Bellamy from Muse who's pretty ugly to look at but his musical genius makes up for it.

MatthewBellamysMuse · 19/04/2009 19:21

Ta-daaa!
Do I get a prize for most frequently namechanging MNer?

Berrie · 19/04/2009 19:58

Tut Lyra..how could you change from Edward...still I suppose you could still be his wife and the other chaps muse...

Zeb, nice to see you!
How is the flat? Any news on the job front?

MatthewBellamysMuse · 19/04/2009 20:17

Do you think EdwardCullensWifeAndAlsoMatthewBellamysMuse is too long?

oggsfrog · 19/04/2009 20:51

Hello Zeb .
I think I'll give your first link a miss. It doesn't exactly get a raving review.
Now the second link ... that is a must have. Don't quite get your Hugh comment in relation to it though.

Lyra. You do not win a prize for most frequently namechanging MNer. You win a prize for most fickle MNer .
You may change name a lot but how many do you have? Last Nov I was up to 187 names and I've had a few more since then... .

Berrie, I won't be much longer with the Tardis pattern. Honest . Do you only have the one pair of needles?
Get anything done at the allotment? I spent a couple of hours taking over 200 photos of dd cartwheeling... 'just one more Mum, just one more...'

MatthewBellamysMuse · 19/04/2009 22:50

Fickle? Pah!
I haven't forgotten Edward. Far from it. He's just moved over to make room for Mr Bellamy. One can love two men at once (three if you count DP ).
I can't beat your name collection though. I must have less than 50.

Berrie · 20/04/2009 07:54

Tell me what size to get Oggs and I'm there! I need to go up to the village today to pay for our holiday.
I did nothing at the allotment Dh dug over our new bed (nearly) Unfortunately it is much more clayish and compacted than the first two. I pulled out a few weed roots. We've got a trailer full of council compost to dig in but it was dh's old car that had the tow bar - doh!
Oh actually I did pick some purple sprouting brocolli - yum.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 20/04/2009 08:31

I think I've changed my name about twice. Does that just make me boring?

My HOUSE (flat? Pah!) is lovely. I've had to spend a fortune on stuff like lampshades and loo roll holders etc, as it had nothing in it. But I did manage to pick up a decent washing machine for £20 and a dishwasher for £50, so I'm pretty happy. Today I'm going to try to get the phone line properly connected, and then I'm getting broadband and BT vision, as the signal is even worse here than it is in Truro, if that's possible. But now I have a spare room and loads of space you're all welcome to sunny Cornwall if you fancy a break.

My Hugh reference was just gratuitous leching.

Lyra. I thought Breaking Dawn was a return to form and pretty good stuff, but I'm not sure I was impressed by the film as much as I was hoping. Is it heresy to say that whilst Rob Pattinson is very very easy on the eye, he was just wrong as Edward? Particularly the voice.

Oh, and did you catch the Easter Dr Who by any chance Oggs?

oggsfrog · 20/04/2009 09:04

Berrie, 4mm would be good. It might knit a bit loose on 4.5mm. Have you joined Rav yet? Huh? Huh? The waiting list is abut 2-3 days at the moment I think.

I did Zeb , and the Confidential. Rustybear was an absolute star and recorded it for me .

I still need to order Breaking Dawn, so I haven't finished Eclipse yet (it's hard to hold off).
I've decided I must see the film after peeking at Youtube clips.
I'm prepared to be disappointed with most some of the casting. Rob Pattinson has already won me over. He is my Edward. I re-watched HP GoF which he is in too.

I don't like the look of most of the others though. Carlisle's blond hair looks like a bad bleach job and Rosalie is not right. Emmett isn't beary/dark/big enough and the Jacob they have is just wrong. Steven Strait is definately my Jacob.

Berrie · 20/04/2009 09:16

I'm glad you said that Oggs. He's not right for Edward but I VERY much enjoyed watching him for an hour or so on the BIIIIG screen

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 20/04/2009 09:17

I have no idea who Steven Straight is, but he does look much more like Jacob. Niiiice. I agree about Rosalie too, nowhere near beautiful enough, and she should be a more unapproachable 'you're out of my league' blonde type, IYSWIM. Carlisle was just odd. I did love Alice though and it was beautifully shot.

I think I need to watch it a second time.
