How many threads is this now?

OP posts:

Uppity? Well, how rude.
Sardinia was ok but not what I expected. The bit we went to was a bit run down and shabby but the beaches and forest were beautiful. DP did come in the end.
The shack turned out to be a brick-built structure in the end but still pretty small and not too comfortable. I was so glad we weren't in a tent when it was raining. That would have been miserable.

oggsfrog · 17/04/2009 19:53

Evening

I do remember you talking about Sardinia, just didn't realise it was happening so soon. I wondered why you'd buggered off with no warning .
Glad you all had a good time and are suitably refreshed.

I think Berrie was just referring to your erm... passion for Twilight and a certain vampire .

I'm just over midway through Eclipse but am holding off now until I get a copy of Breaking Dawn so I will have a smooth transistion from one to the next.

Zeb has vanished. Hope she's okay.

EdwardCullensWife · 17/04/2009 19:57

Sorry Oggs, I was too busy to be excited about it so didn't really mention it.
What have you been up to? Have you managed to locate a bargain copy of Breaking Dawn? A girl on my flight home was clutching a copy. Having been vampire-deprived for a week I was tempted to rip it from her hands.

oggsfrog · 17/04/2009 20:04

Not yet. I need to have a look on Amazon.

Can't decide between Edward and Jacob so I think I'm Team Switzerland at the moment.

EdwardCullensWife · 17/04/2009 20:21

There's no contest Oggs. Jacob's a boy, Edward's a man.

EdwardCullensWife · 17/04/2009 20:25

Berrie, I can see why you thought i was being uppity but I really wasn't. I just thought it was ridiculous that this grown woman was arguing a case that she knew nothing about. Just because she'd read some article in some newspaper it became fact in her mind, like the writer's opinion was some sort of scientific study. Really, the regard some people put on the opinions of journalists is ridiculous. We're just people the same as anyone else and so the opinion of one writer shouldn't be considered to have more validity than the opinion of anyone else. That's what got up my nose.

EdwardCullensWife · 17/04/2009 20:32

Still trying to revive my dead ipod. Someone else dropped their ipod in the sea. i hope they have some top tips. Right now there are no signs of life.

Berrie · 17/04/2009 20:34

Hee hee, you don't need to tell me

Berrie · 17/04/2009 20:35

Oh dear...I put dh's mobile in the washing machine...it's slowly coming back...

EdwardCullensWife · 17/04/2009 20:37

Apparently the salt water's a killer.

Berrie · 17/04/2009 20:38

Ah...

EdwardCullensWife · 17/04/2009 20:41

RIP iPod.
What do you reckon has happened to Zeb?

Berrie · 17/04/2009 20:46

Not sure. I don't think she always spilled all the details of her life as I am wont to do.

oggsfrog · 17/04/2009 20:46

Is an ipod a posh mp3 player?

EdwardCullensWife · 17/04/2009 20:52

Oggs, you can't tell me you don't know what an ipod is. The original MP3 player. Made by Apple.
I got the back off and it was all full of sand and greenish rusty patches. I gave it a clean but now there's a great multi-coloured gash across the screen. i may as well give up, eh?

Berrie · 17/04/2009 20:54
Grin
EdwardCullensWife · 17/04/2009 21:00

Hmm, no sign of Zeb on Facebook either. Should we be worried?

Berrie · 17/04/2009 21:03

Has she been on any threads here?

EdwardCullensWife · 17/04/2009 21:06

Nope.

oggsfrog · 17/04/2009 21:07

Really Lyra. I know nothing about Mp3s, Ipods etc.
I have a portable casette player that I'm currently listening to Ballykissangel on . I use it in the car as we don't have a radio/tape/cd player, and when I go out walking .
Dd was given a portable cd player with anti-shock/jog/bump/whatever that I used to use to listen to my Dr Who CDs when I walked, but I was listening to my Paul McKenna I Can Make You Thin Cd in bed and I fell asleep and it broke when it hit the floor.
I bought a cheapy cd player from Asda (£7) but it doesn't have the anti movement buffer thingy (of course not at £7!) so I can't use it unless I keep absolutely still. So no good for in the car or on the move, and I've given Paul the heave ho so I don't need it in bed either.

So yes. The world of technology really is passing us by.

I have a vcheap radio in the kitchen that can only, and I mean only, pick up R4 long wave, and a cd/cassette/radio player in the other room that used to belong to dh's parents so is at least 11 years old.

EdwardCullensWife · 17/04/2009 21:10

Ok, I forgive you Oggs.
Nothing from Zeb since April 2nd.

EdwardCullensWife · 17/04/2009 21:14

Grr, I'm tempted to smash the ipod to bits with a hammer. it's showing no signs of salvageability.

oggsfrog · 17/04/2009 21:15

Have just sent her a quick text to check all is ok.

oggsfrog · 17/04/2009 21:18

Of course it's not beyond the realms of possibility that she has changed her mobile number since Jan last year .

oggsfrog · 17/04/2009 21:23

Got to go. DT is calling .

I'll let you know if I hear anything from Zeb.
