How many threads is this now?

OP posts:
Berrie · 31/03/2009 17:41

Mmmm vauge recolection...I read that one very quickly.

I went back because there was another lovely one but I couldn't find it.
Will find approximate link...

Berrie · 31/03/2009 17:54

I've put it on

I googled New Moon Movie and clicked on Edward Cullen for the pictures.

EdwardCullensWife · 31/03/2009 18:12

That's nice too. Why do they have to make his hair so bouffant though?
You must have skim-read Breaking Dawn. The Volturi did feature quite heavily...

Berrie · 31/03/2009 19:38

I know...

Berrie · 31/03/2009 19:41

Oggs, have I ever mentioned my 40th birthday fund? I am saving up for a camper van trip. I want to fly to Glasgow and do the west coast. What would be my best month midge and weather wise?

oggspocket · 01/04/2009 08:50

You won't be 40 until 2011 will you Berrie? By then the climate might have changed...

Basically where we are, the midges arrive in the last week of May and are here until the end of September.
Very, very bad when they first arrive, then it depends on the actual weather on the day, but there are always some around in varying degrees.

EdwardCullensWife · 01/04/2009 09:14

How was the movie, Berrie? Did DH enjoy it?
What to do today...
I could put yet another coat of paint on the doors (yawn)
I could sit by the letterbox waiting for my DVD to drop through it (waste of time)
I could go for a wander in the sunshine into town (unproductive)
I could read my new worthy book (boring).

Berrie · 01/04/2009 10:23

Didn't watch the movie. DH in too bad a mood and I wanted to save it for a nicer evening.
You should do the painting but I'd wander into town!

Oggs, I've not got much else to think about!

EdwardCullensWife · 01/04/2009 11:11

I did opt for the painting. Bloody pain in the ass DIY. Wish we could afford to pay for a decorator to do it while I file my nails and drink coffee.

EdwardCullensWife · 01/04/2009 11:12

Post just arrived. Still no DVD. Bah.

EdwardCullensWife · 01/04/2009 11:17

If DH is being a miserable git you may have to watch it without him. It could be detrimental to your health to go too long without a Cullen fix.

Berrie · 01/04/2009 12:36

Tell me about it!

EdwardCullensWife · 01/04/2009 13:06

My neck and shoulders are killing me, having just painted the cornicing in the hallway. It's all the same shade of off-white matt as the doors and it's looking pretty good. And I've had the wonderful Muse for company - man, that guy can sing.
Where are Zeb and Oggs today I wonder?
I suspect Zeb may have started Breaking Dawn. Oggs, I have no idea.

Berrie · 01/04/2009 16:19

I think of you every time I see the muck on our walls nowadays Lyra.

I reckon Oggs' new internet has blown up with you tube DT viewing and Zeb has an almighty hangover!

EdwardCullensWife · 01/04/2009 17:55

Get your roller out. Honestly, it makes a hell of a difference seeing everything fresh and clean. Although I guess it will have to wait till your back's better. Any improvement today?

Berrie · 01/04/2009 18:23

Yes thanks, less crawling, less screaming, more walking.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 01/04/2009 18:46

Berrie was right.

But I handed back keys to the flat today, spent far too much money on house 'stuff' and, errm, bought Breaking Dawn. I've read the first two chapters and thought I'd better have a pause as I'm starving.

Niiiice photos too Berrie. Very nice.

oggspocket · 01/04/2009 21:17

Hello

I'm having problems with emails and a couple of other things so have been busy trying to sort that out.

Sounds like your back is getting a little better Berrie, do you need to see the Dr again?

So you're a lady of leisure now Zeb?

Don't envy you all that painting Lyra.

Berrie · 02/04/2009 07:25

Morning everyone.

Another long day of property tv.

We watched Twilight last night. Dh said he enjoyed it. It was different to the cinema as you'd expect but I think the small screen suited Robert P better...when he's not looking so good (as Edward never should) he's not so big.

Lyra..does one paint the wall or the woodwork first?

EdwardCullensWife · 02/04/2009 09:19

I tend to do walls first, then woodwork. Whether that's the correct way or not I don't know.
I thought RP looks his worst in the scene where he's sucking the venom out of Bella's arm. He looks like a gargoyle . Very much NOT my Edward.

EdwardCullensWife · 02/04/2009 09:21

Don't watch property TV - read Midnight Sun.
I will be mostly watching HP and the Goblet of Fire (started it last night) and doing yet more painting.

Berrie · 02/04/2009 09:24

How do you prevent wood paint going on your new paint? Can you mask new paint?

EdwardCullensWife · 02/04/2009 09:30

You can mask it as long as its been dry a day or two. Or just be VERY careful with your brush.

EdwardCullensWife · 02/04/2009 09:36

If you do decide to paint, don't use rollers, use a paint pad. Goes on quicker and you get a much smoother finish.

Berrie · 02/04/2009 09:56

Right, good tip. I've never decorated a full house, only empty ones...it badly needs doing but I can never seem to face it. One bit at a time though eh? The woodwork is awful. I think it will need stripping back to the wood on the windowsills and the skirting along the stairs at least. I really can't face the ceiling...
