How many threads is this now?

OP posts:
Berrie · 30/03/2009 08:51

Doctor coming after lunch. (swoosh) Think I will probably cry when they come...am feeling really miserable with it now. Fed up of the pain, fed up of feeling sick, fed up of not sleeping, fed up of the constipation, fed up of weeing on a potty, fed up of the mess, fed up of TV, fed up of not being able to get away from dd when she wants to play talky cars or talky cats.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 30/03/2009 09:29

Berrie. Here's a big hug for you. Will the doc be able to give you anything to help?

And yes, it's all over. I'm moved and the flat is now clean and tidy. Hurrah. I can't find my hairdryer and I didn't have heating over the weekend, but these are minor details (the gas for the heating is being sorted out today). At last I'm in a proper grown up house and everything is lovely and shiny and clean. About time, now I'm 40!

And I'm still reading the 3rd book, although it's nearly finished. I agree about the magic of the first book, and whilst Edward is adorable, I think I'd have had to punch him eventually for being too controling if not borderline stalker. Is that just me?!

EdwardCullensWife · 30/03/2009 09:33

I thought he was controlling at the beinning of book 2 but then went the other way and said nothing while Bella went off with Jacob. Do you think he's controlling in Eclipse? I wouldn't be as understanding as him about the Bella and Jacob thing.

EdwardCullensWife · 30/03/2009 09:36

I'd say it's not stalking if you want them to stalk you IYSWIM.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 30/03/2009 10:30

Good point.

And he is controlling in Eclipse. Well, for most of it anyway.

EdwardCullensWife · 30/03/2009 10:44

Hmm, perhaps overprotective rather than controlling.
Did you enjoy the pics? Looks like a young Daniel Craig in somne of them, I thought.

EdwardCullensWife · 30/03/2009 11:01

Duh, when I said book 2 before I of course meant Eclipe. Yes, controlling/overprotective at the beginning then the complete opposite - too understanding - towards the end. He's a man of extremes.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 30/03/2009 11:53

I haven't looked yet. I'm saving it for my lunch time!

EdwardCullensWife · 30/03/2009 11:56

I wonder where Oggs is tis morning.
Knitting perhaps? Googling pics of DT? Trying again to hunt down a copy of Twilight?

Berrie · 30/03/2009 13:09

Dr has prescribed more pills and has given me until Thursday to get moving otherwise he will refer me on. Wanted to rudely mutter something about not giving me stronger pills 2 weeks ago but didn't.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 30/03/2009 14:33

Lyra, I just checked your link. I don't know why but it did nothing for me. . Come on, you can do better!

EdwardCullensWife · 30/03/2009 14:54

I'm not sure I'd say no

EdwardCullensWife · 30/03/2009 14:57

He is a little young though. Born in 1982.

oggspocket · 30/03/2009 18:49

I've got Broadband!

It's not mega fast (512kbps) but it's sooooooo much faster than we've been used to.

I can watch youtube! (sometimes takes a few minutes to load but not the hours I'm used to)

I can.... well, don't actually know what else I can do yet as I haven't had chance to have a play around, but Yesssssssssssssss! I can load pages quickly and have unlimited threads rather than 25 messages per page.

Oh joy!

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 30/03/2009 19:23

I'm tired. But only 1 day left to go. Well, let's call it half a day as we're being taken out to lunch and then there's a bit of a party.

But I love my new pad. Particularly now the heating's sorted.

Is there any improvement on the back Berrie?

Berrie · 30/03/2009 19:37

Wooooooooo Hooooooooooooo!
Oggs joins the real world...sort of...
Is your e-mail address the same?
Twilight is on Amazon £3.70, free delivery, no excuse!

Zeb, opiate made me feel a bit woozy for a while but little pain relief. It works like pethedine apparently. I don't feel too hopeful at the moment.
Glad you are feeling good about your new home. Will you throw a party? Are you closer to ds now? Has he been round?

oggspocket · 30/03/2009 20:47

Lyra, I'm not keen on the bloke in that link either. He reminds me of David Beckham. Yuck. I prefer dark hair. Is he in Twilight then?

Zeb, glad you're happy in your new home. Was Robin Hood any good on Sat?

Berrie, hope you get some relief with the new tabs.
I'm still at the same email address for now, but will need to cancel the dial-up service and the email address is with them so will need to look into changing it - not something I relish the thought of tbh.

Having a few probs with the new service, but think some of it might be down to me having too many tabs open at once, although the dial-up seemed to cope .

Berrie · 30/03/2009 20:53

Ooo...just been to the bathroom and yes, dh had to help me and yes, I walked like I was 107 years old and yes, my head lolled about trying to find a position that caused the least pain...but...I didn't need to moan and groan in agony for 10 minutes afterwards. Woo Hoo!

oggspocket · 30/03/2009 21:20

That's good news .
You're bound to be stiff anyway from spending this much time in bed unable to move about.

EdwardCullensWife · 30/03/2009 22:44

Fantastic news Oggs! Broadband at last? But how? You said it was too expensive. And 512 may not be basng up to date but only a few years ago it was considered super-fast. Now you can download audiobooks.
Berrie, are you a druggie now?

EdwardCullensWife · 30/03/2009 22:45

I've downloaded two HP movies today - Goblet of Fire and Order of the Phoenix.

oggspocket · 30/03/2009 22:59

Download audiobooks?????? Tell me more. How? Where? How much?

We got free installation as part of a Scottish Gov project to provide affordable broadband to rural users previously unable to access it.
We just pay a monthly fee for the service but didn't have to pay for the fitting or the equipment .

EdwardCullensWife · 30/03/2009 23:55

Excellent!
When I was searching for movies I found loads of audiobooks available (for free). Are you familiar with bittorrent?

EdwardCullensWife · 31/03/2009 00:23

ok, google bittorrent. Download it. Google isohunt. Do a search for, for example, a Harry Potter title. It will come up with all sorts of files, including film, applications, games and audiobooks. Click on the one you want, then select download .torrent and it will download.
Easy peasy.

oggspocket · 31/03/2009 08:44

is it legal Lyra? I've seen that the Twilight series is there on audio...

God, I'm knackered . I stayed up late last night watching DT on programs like Graham Norton

Zeb hope your last day goes well and that you have a lovely lunch .
Will you be keeping in touch with your colleagues?

Berrie? Any better? Any less bored?
