hothell · 30/01/2009 22:32

oh, great suggestions.

i rewatched yesterday the bit where nanni moretti goes go visit la tomba di pasolini, beautiful keith jarret's music, feeling crying just remembering.

francagoestohollywood · 30/01/2009 22:32

Hot, you should be ashamed of yourself . He was gorgeous, imho of course.

Penthe, one of the last movies I see with my dvd rental was Sunset Boulevard. Fab! And I love All about Eve and Baby jane.
Also, if you fancy old ones, look for anything by George Cukor and Lubitsch.

hothell · 30/01/2009 22:32

lovely unprotected sex...

Penthesileia · 30/01/2009 22:32

Awww, thanks - she's a wee sweetie. We really lucked out, temperament-wise. She's such a smiley, adorable little ciccia.

hothell · 30/01/2009 22:37

ahhhh, anche la mia e' una ciccia...

Penthesileia · 30/01/2009 22:37

No, I lie: obviously I have seen some Cukor films (Philadelphia Story, etc), but didn't recognise the name; are Lubitsch all auf Deutsch?

PippiCalzelunghe · 30/01/2009 22:37

no way franca. it seems it's getting better if possible. mine is crap!!

PippiCalzelunghe · 30/01/2009 22:38

hothell · 30/01/2009 22:38

off to bed to read...

hothell · 30/01/2009 22:40

the shop aound the corner and to be or not to be, deffo not german.

francagoestohollywood · 30/01/2009 22:40

Penthe: you must get whatever is available of Lubitsch. I recommend: Ninotcka, To be or not to be (remade by Mel Brooks), The shop around the corner (remade - hideously- with Tom Hanks and whatsherface)

PippiCalzelunghe · 30/01/2009 22:41

me too. ciao.

Penthesileia · 30/01/2009 22:42

franca - your English is great!

As is yours, Pippi my love.

ruzzola: a roller?

Ahh - ok. Maybe I googled the wrong Lubitsch?...

francagoestohollywood · 30/01/2009 22:43

I'm not suggesting to get the remake (though the mel brooks one is good)

Penthesileia · 30/01/2009 22:47

Ok - I have heard of those films, esp. Ninotchka - but never seen them. Ahhh - like books, there are so many films to see...

francagoestohollywood · 30/01/2009 22:48

Oh you are kind. I'm finding writing in English more difficult -at times.
here Penthe

Penthesileia · 30/01/2009 22:56

Thanks for the link - will look out for his films.

re: the English - you'd never know you were finding it difficult.

francagoestohollywood · 30/01/2009 22:59

Bugger, my internet connection is playing up...

Penthesileia · 30/01/2009 23:03
