Aka le Patatine

Ooh vomit bugs, Not nice, especially as little ones always seem to contain vast quantities of the stuff, à la Exorcist. Or is it only my DD?

I'm very impressed at you going to the gym Franca. I have the same problem re the swimming, although now further compounded by a fear of the chlorine washing off my hair colour as I advance into old age.

at scarey flatmate! It always amazes me how many weirdos there are out there. We had some really strange girl come to look at our flat once, but luckily she didn't like it .

Where did you go in Norfolk MM? Having lived there many years it always astonishes me that anyone would consider it a holiday destination. I expect in small doses it's probably OK, it's the long term that's scary.

Forgot to say I'm very impressed with Minirosa's antics. I don't think mine managed much at that age, although not having filled in a baby book I'm not sure.

Oh, and I finally received my amazon parcel, so panic over.

at minirosa gymnastics! I can't remember when mine did that too!

Glad to hear your parcel has arrived, as this morning I ordered another 50£ worth stuff !

Don't be impressed. The gym membership has been forced upon me, i was a present from my aunt. I hate the gym and I knew my backache would have come back! But I'm determined to go, I want to tone up my arms...

Brangelina · 26/01/2009 18:55

Mine was forced upon me too, so I understand. I also hate the gym, I'd much rather be doing kickboxing or something, but got bored of being in a class with testosterone-crazed adolescents.

You were brave ordering again. Mind you, I'm thinking of repeating the experience myself. Am I mad or am I mad?

francagoestohollywood · 26/01/2009 18:59

I even ordered the dvd of romanzo criminale!!!

francagoestohollywood · 26/01/2009 21:49

Brangelina, are you watching x factor? I found it a bi boring..

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 26/01/2009 21:58

buonasera!

Rosa - very impressed! DD's not really tried rolling, well, she doesn't get the chance as there's not enough space in the crib and she's never lying down unless asleep, as she just hates it. She loves her walker, she's getting really good at moving around, but not leaving her in as long as she/I'd like.... DS was the same, didn't bother crawling much either... not looking fwd to starting walking like la Befana, all bent holding on to little hands...

can't remember if I asked already, but has anyone tried Davina's workouts? need to get s.thing a bit more movimentato, but not too much as I'm not allowed to bounce/run/heavy lifting, and the wii is ok for warming up and yoga, but need to move more... need to loose the last 6kg for Easter...

PippiCalzelunghe · 26/01/2009 22:05

I am the Befana at the moment. that's all dd2 wants to do!

haven't tried davina but looks good. I don't buy such things because I never do them - not enough will power.

why can't you do heavy lifting etc if you don't mind me asking?

I'm eating nutella by the spoon ..

Penthesileia · 26/01/2009 22:14

Nutella by the spoon! Oooooooohhhhhh....

Gives me awful spots though...

PippiCalzelunghe · 26/01/2009 22:16

yup because we run out of green and black.

I am so tired from the swimming that I'm going to leave house a mess and 'domani e' un altro giorno'...

Penthesileia · 26/01/2009 22:34

Don't go, though... Talk dirty to me: tell me more about that Nutella... Is is a big jar?

I made chocolate cookies yesterday as my chocolate fix. Discovered this evening that DH ate them on a midnight kitchen raid last night!

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 26/01/2009 22:34

Pippi, that's thanks to DD being a facial presentation delivery and consultant & MWs only realising when she came out with the ventouse on her forehead, most probably the problems I'm left with could have been avoided, if only they'd listen to my "this doesn't feel right" pleas .

I'm drinking whittard's dreamtime drink.... wishful thinking...

Penthesileia · 26/01/2009 22:49

Yikes! Poor Sunflower!

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 26/01/2009 23:52

forgot to ask, I watched Ballando con le stelle, but not all of it, who went out?

Brangelina · 27/01/2009 00:19

X Factor was a bit boring, they argue far to much imo and that's dull.

Ballando - that Licia Nunez (whoever she is) was eliminated this time (along with her elastic hipped Russian partner that I seem to have developed a crush on)

PippiCalzelunghe · 27/01/2009 10:12

penthe sorry I crashed out (only to be awaken 20 times by dd2 and her teething pain ). I'm a nervous wreck this morning and have been shouting at dd1 for no reason poor child .

If I only new you wanted to talk dirty ... it was a BIG jar, what else would you expect !

PippiCalzelunghe · 27/01/2009 10:12

sunflower ouch . How long will it take to heal/feel better again?

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 27/01/2009 10:56

well, guess the scar will heal sooner or later, but apparently I have very weak pelvic floor which I can obviously exercise. rest is damage limitation, but at least I don't have leaky problems . have to drink decaf tea and coffee too, but I'm not giving up my tiny shot of espresso in caffelatte for breakfast... at least I like caffe' d'orzo...

francagoestohollywood · 27/01/2009 12:47

Oh dear sunflower, ouch ... I have leaky problems (especially when I sneeze, and had 2 "easy" births )

Rosa · 27/01/2009 13:03

My pelvic floor hints - Sit on a stool or hard chair with feet on floor flat and then take sucks on your thumb -see what happens ??? I must get the Wii out . Have you tried Pilates I loved it and will go back in Sept I hope.
Nutella - I like it warm in croissants but can't eat it out of a jar !!! Mind you have hardly ever had it in the house !
Minirosa Had jab - the other she will have in a month due to her having afebbre a few weeks ago. She did a little cry no sign of febbre just yet but its early.
Is Filiberto still in Dancing with stelle ?- I saw him on the first episode oh boy was he bad ! I watched Las vegas on Sky - I rather like it no idea why !
Good news on your parcel I want to order dd some Angelina ballerina books we have 2 and I am sooooo Fed up of reading them she loves them for some reason.

francagoestohollywood · 27/01/2009 13:38

Gosh Rosa you're an expert of ginnastica perineale !!!

I should try to get dd Angelina Ballerina, she wasn't that keen when we were in the UK. She might change her mind! (Ds actually liked watching Angelina's tv progs when he was younger). I got dd a book of Princess Smartypants.

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 27/01/2009 16:10

I love pilates because of my back (warning: don't get your DDs to do gymnastics, they will have bad back from the moment they stop!!), use to go to the physio centre in victoria, they were brilliant as the classes were small and they really spent time on the individual, but it cosed down... might check the local centre... at least now I've been told the dos and dont'ts so I can start moving again. Will try that trick Rosa, thanks.

DS's just had his pane e Nutella fix (just like his mummy if he could he'd have it every day...) always wanted a nutella party, do you remember, the looooooooooooooooooooong baguette with the candles........ might do it for DS's next b-day party, though everyone always expects tiramisu'

DS's obsessed with the Mr Men books, need to get some new ones too as I'me getting bored....

gio71 · 27/01/2009 19:21

Ds loves Angelina Ballerina as well and runs around on tip toes when on TV! Much to dps dismay
My chocolate fix the last 2 days has been chocolate cornflake cake- for ds of course

Sputnik · 27/01/2009 20:28

Bugger bugger bugger.
Tele2 hijacked my ADSL and I have been offline for several days. I'm connected with a telefonino atm, god know when it'll be sorted out. I am going to sue them for loss of social life.

PippiCalzelunghe · 27/01/2009 20:57

Rosa LOL at pelvic floor exc. it works!!! DH looked at me like that when I tried it ! at least I know that DD1 (thumb sucker) won't have problem in that regard (won't tell DH that has he won't appreciate it I'm sure!)

franca sneezing is a bugger and so is the bloody trampoline.
