Benvenuti, ciao hello

OP posts:
Brangelina · 06/01/2009 22:43

Lol at you trying to declutter things in my direction. Have you seen my house?

I do like DPAM. What size is it? As long as the lining is not pale pink I don't mind having it, pinafores always come in handy.

Brangelina · 06/01/2009 22:44

I'm very impressed that the tree got 3 torroni. One for each member of the Pino family? How sweet about the card!

Sputnik · 06/01/2009 22:55

That is so sweet about the tree! Have a good time Pippi!

Ok, the dress is supposedly 5 yrs but quite small I think (DD has a skirt of same size which fits fine), your DD is a little younger than mine IIRC? The lining is white with red spots, or maybe dark pink spots. Me and DD were both gutted it didn't fit!
My email is sputnikinspace at gmail.com if you want to send your address I'll post it at some point.

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 07/01/2009 10:12

Morning, Xmas and Befana back in the cupboard, so back to normal name...

might tackle decorations later too... Rosa, how can you be so organised? I have clean washing everywhere, well, mainly in our bedroom now, and the bannister is about to come down it's so overflowing with clothes (clean washing making hard to get to wardrobe, so everything is left on bannister..) had big plans for holidays, with DP home looking after DCs, but he always had s.thing to do/s.where to go... will have to chain him to them this w.end and make a start...

LOL at DD1 pippi... Pino will come back next xmas for more torrone...

francagoestohollywood · 07/01/2009 12:04

How sweet about the Pino pippi ! I hope you are having a stress free trip back to Italy.

Still snowing here, at least 30 cm!!! I love it, but the comune is being pretty pathetic and disorganized. Where does our money go? (mind you, I'm actually pleased that the streets aren't been cleared, it is nice not to have traffic for once. But then i don't need to leave my quartiere. I'd be pissed off otherwise)

Penthesileia · 07/01/2009 14:09

francagoestohollywood · 07/01/2009 20:31

Our tree is still up

Rosa · 08/01/2009 10:27

Sleet / snow here and wind - lovely. DD1 went down with her flu version yesterday along with vomit last night ( Thank heavens for supposte as she couldn't keep anything down !) COmplaining of sore ear this am so off to doc this pm - also have to confirm her nursery place this pm not sure how in hell going to do it as yet as nursery is 1st come 1st serve and I know that others have gone.....
Hope Pippi made it in ok as I bet it was snowing in Pg as well.
Flower I have wet washing everywhere as had to wash the vomit !!
Re canone Rai I get sooo cross about it as if it was a TV licence then thats one thing but a RAI - I hate the RAI - we never watch it as in never it is full of publicity so they get money in as well. WHat do they do with all the money I ask myself not make decent programs ?

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 08/01/2009 10:44

Rosa, hope DD1 gets better soon, poor thing.

and if it makes you feel better re feeding, we had terrible night, as DD, despite nearly 2 EXTRA feeds before bedtime last night, she still woke up after an hours hungry, finally falling asleep around 12 in our bed and woke up during the night as well for feeding... just hoping is just because she was a bit windy (though not sure how she managed to keep all that milk in )

spoke to mum last night and said no snow there, though cold, so guess it finally reached her too now... and DS was crying the other morning going to school as he doesn't like "this cold weather mummy, let's go to nonna in italy" as we normally go in summer, so gues he'd be crying there too!

franca, all decorations still up, now they'll have to wait til saturday...

francagoestohollywood · 08/01/2009 11:07

Oh no rosa poor dd1! Gosh this year the flu is nasty.

Yes, I do wonder as well what Rai does with all that money, probably just wastes it on silly variety shows, wastes it in general. I still find rai better than mediaset though, and the only channel I watch regularly is rai3 (old leftie me ).

Sunflower, I have no idea when we'll put the decorations away ...

Rosa, have been to coin and bought towels (50% off) and a tablecloth (30% off). Hurrah!

bless dd1 pippi, that is so sweet re tree.
poor rosa dd1! hope she is better soon.
Can't belive how much snow you have up north Franca. DP is off to Milano for work on Fri and you would think he was preparing to go to the artic, pathetic and scared of the cold! Then mad FIL came round yesterday with a pair of moon boots which he said dp should wear to go there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank God dp said absolutely no way am I going in a pair of bloody moon boots to a business meeting in Milano!!!!!!!!!! Che figura!!! Wimps, I remember tottering and sliding in ice and snow in my (80's tack) kitten heels to go to school - (hard northern emoticon )
Rai is crap and I dont know how they dare ask for money! On that note am I supposed to register to pay somewhere or should they send us a bill now we have residency in new house?

Rosa · 08/01/2009 13:00

Gio I would let them find you ...( naughty emotion)
France am on COIN - I have no idea if and when I will get there.
I was throwing away a box which had a doll in a late xmas present and have to share the English ... And I quote ......
NEw Series, Popular new style, surpass century design, once posess nothing can instead.
The doll cried fill the milk bottle to him to absord.
When the doll cry please fill the nipple to him to eat at this time.He can eat with relish. The best welcome gift for the children.
Remove her dummy, she will cry,Give her a bottle , she will really suck it , lovely baby.
Yes it is made in China and I did check for the CE mark!!!

francagoestohollywood · 08/01/2009 13:06

Lol Rosa!!!

Gio, don't do anything, as rosa said, let them find you

Lol at your fil and the moon boots. If it doesn't snow again, your dh will be safe tomorrow, pavements will be clean (but if it doesn't snow ds will be seriously disappointed, yesterday he had a major melt down because snow had turned into rain )

OP posts:
francagoestohollywood · 08/01/2009 13:37

Gio: pack those boots. It's snowing again !

OP posts:
Rosa · 08/01/2009 18:51

Moon boots I found were the most stupid invention ever ( and I tried lots of boots ). Basically the grip was rubbish so on compacted snow you slipped over and anybody who walked normally e,g heel first then toe used to go arse over tit . Old style Timberlands were the best witha good rubber sole . I have new Timberlands and they are again rubbish as the rubber gets too cold and you slip !!Best were the TOdds style boots brill. Mind you I think your dh should wear them especially if they are a bright colour maybe your FIL can find a scarf and hat to match
DD has Autite so we have antibiotics again mind you she is eating giambonetti so I guess feeling better. Managed to do the materna inscrizione as well. Got dh home early he has taken tom off as well
Cold here but snow / rain gone !

francagoestohollywood · 08/01/2009 19:29

I have a good pair of snow boots that I bought at decathlon for 20 euros. I actually find them stylish...

Hope your dd feels better soon with the ab rosa

OP posts:
Penthesileia · 09/01/2009 14:14

Hope your DD feels better soon, Rosa.

The tv news here were trying to get excited by the rise in flu cases in the UK.

Am still jealous of the snow. Booo.

francagoestohollywood · 09/01/2009 14:19

Oh yes, I love "seasonal" news like "the flu", "the cold/hot weather", "what to eat when it's cold/hot" etc etc etc

OP posts:
Penthesileia · 09/01/2009 14:20

They're all hysterical about the sub-zero temperatures we've been having. Like, duh - it's winter.

francagoestohollywood · 09/01/2009 14:24

Same here. Do you know Michele Serra? (he is a journalist/columnist, now working for La Repubblica, who in the 80s directed Cuore) he always takes the piss of articles on the weather)

OP posts:
Penthesileia · 09/01/2009 14:28

No, don't know him.

The only tele-journalists I'm vaguely familiar with are:

  • that evil one, Vespa (how apt!), who loves B

and

  • the one who hosts Porta a porta (because DH watches that sometimes online)
francagoestohollywood · 09/01/2009 14:47

Vespa (EVIL) is the one who hosts porta a porta. Why does your dh watch it? Is it to watch ladies with nipple tassels? (often hosted there, with a bunch of politicians)
Michele Serra.

OP posts:
Penthesileia · 09/01/2009 14:56

Ok - I must be getting confused. Who is the silver-haired glasses-wearing one who hosts some kind of political talk-show? Everyone sits down in armchairs, and they all fight a lot.

Hmmm - DH does watch Porta a porta too though.... Why???? Now I'm getting paranoid.

Penthesileia · 09/01/2009 14:58

Sorry - you're right - it's tassels...
