I have just seen this mornings headlines. Is this true about Zoe and Norm? Does anyone know if there is a grain of truth in there?

How old is Woody? 2ish?

This is really sad for the little boy.

Has anyone cited the curse of Hello as reason for their divorce then!

bundle · 20/01/2003 17:12

I'm sure Anthea & Grant will cite Snowflake if the time comes.... (v naughty!)

Catt · 21/01/2003 12:56

Better add the curse of Instyle magazine to the list of celebrity hazards. The latest issue has an interview with Zoe Ball saying how she feels so lucky cos she still fancies the pants off her husband...

bundle · 21/01/2003 13:11

I seem to remember a magazine interview with Kate Winslet about domestic bliss was published when they announced their split too.

Rhubarb · 21/01/2003 14:41

IMO when celebs start papping on about how happy their marriages are, that's the first clue that something is wrong!

breeze · 26/01/2003 12:27

according to the news of the world she was actually cheating on him with a drummer from another band, he was willing to forgive, but she can't promise not to do it again. Oh dear

gosh2 · 26/01/2003 12:43

Yip read that today, did you see his photo? Looked like one of the Pogues. Sexy huh?!

I read that too - it is funny cause I said to DH there has to be someone else earlier in the week .. not that i really follow celebrity but it seemed to sudden and out of the blue ( for the public) for someone else not to be involved. Another DJ according to News of the World!! yes trashiest of trash!!

lou33 · 26/01/2003 15:26

If the paper is to be believed Jude Law and Sadie Frost are having problems too. It's a shame really that these very personal problems are made public. Must make it twice as hard to deal with.

suedonim · 26/01/2003 17:45

My friend and I found an ancient "Hello" in a waiting room last week and at least two thirds of the couples in it have now split up. It included an interview with Michael Douglas's previous wife, saying how they were not getting a divorce.

Chinchilla · 26/01/2003 18:53

What is it about these people? Most of us have to work hard at our relationships. I know for a fact that dh and I could have gone our seperate ways many times in the 15 years we have been together. We did not give up at the first hurdle like these people seem to do. It's almost as if being financially independent of each other means that they don't worry about just bggering off, and sd the children involved. It makes me mad. Next Posh and Becks will be announcing they are to split! I mean, it only takes the press to lable a couple as being 'solid' before they are splitting up!

I can only think of a few 'celebrity' marriages that have actually worked. In fact, other than Paul Newman, I'm stumped...anyone think of any more?

Chinchilla · 26/01/2003 18:54

Oops, I meant 'label'...should have previewed!

jasper · 26/01/2003 20:54

Even Paul Newman was married before, or was it his wife?

Chinchilla · 26/01/2003 21:07

Ooh, didn't know that, but he and Joanne Woodward (?) have been together for about 20 years haven't they?

aloha · 26/01/2003 22:34

45 years, actually! And yes, he was married before for nine years.

bozzy · 27/01/2003 13:47

Apparently Aaron Spelling (producer of many American US shows) has been married for donkey's years...but most of the people who have worked in his shows (especially Beverly Hills 20 whatever it is) have all divorced. They seem to think that it is bad luck to work for him!

breeze · 27/01/2003 14:16

I have just seen melanie griffiths and antonia whatever on the front of hello, and about the rumours of their marriage problems. Curse of hello, look out for these next.

sis · 27/01/2003 15:30

John Alderton and his wife - you know, the one from Upstairs Downstairs and Shirley Valentine. I'm sure they've been married for yonks.

janh · 27/01/2003 15:53

Sheila Hancock and John Thaw (well, until he died).

Timothy West and um - Sybil Fawlty (I've forgotten her name!)

janh · 27/01/2003 15:54

Prunella Scales! (it always comes just too late...)

elliott · 27/01/2003 15:54

prunella scales

happydays · 27/01/2003 16:02

Jack and Vera

breeze · 27/01/2003 16:04

Does anyone else think that Zoe ball is nothing special, my dh actually says she looks like a 12 year old boy.

janh · 27/01/2003 16:27

Thanks, elliott!

Oh, breeze, no, I think she's lovely. She is kind of boyish I suppose but dead cute.

I can remember her very first appearance in the broom cupboard on kids' BBC (did she take over from Phillip Schofield?) when she was so nervous the telly practically quivered but she still had the same charm and gift for saying the right thing.Very sad about her and thing. Hope they get back together.

breeze · 27/01/2003 17:03

She was also on the front on some newspaper this morning in her undies, saying sexy undies didn't do it for norm, can't see why she would embarrass him, unless their marriage was over.
