I wouldn't meet him either but I use my husband's e-mail. Not very 21st century I know.

galaxy · 28/01/2005 22:41

Well he's probably reading this now anyway so maybe he'll take the hint.

pixiefish · 28/01/2005 22:41

beansprout i mean- sorry.

Fimbo · 28/01/2005 22:42

Does he email other mn'rs as well, if so surely those people also need to be made aware for safety's sake as much as anything.

beansprout · 28/01/2005 22:42

I thought that too JM, but then again, is there an appropriate way to tell lies and mislead people?

jamiesam · 28/01/2005 22:43

Sorry - grass somebody up 0R out somebody...

Kayleigh · 28/01/2005 22:43

If you have told mumsnet Yorkiegirl I would just cease contact. If he sees this thread he may be scared off anyway. How horrible.

More caution needed on the meet up threads?
How can it be made safer?

munnzieb · 28/01/2005 22:44

i'd be a bit worried if I was you, start by blocking him, and then subtally advise others? - maybe that might not be a good idea actually, after the whole W&R thingy. i'm a bit concerned thou he only targetted the meet up threads. (would also suggest none of you guys meet there, now)

perhaps MN can do soemthing to aid in the meet up sections bein safer (not sure how they could do this, if at all??)

soapbox · 28/01/2005 22:46

Westcountrylass - you could just look at the meetup threads that Yorkiegirl has posted on

helsi · 28/01/2005 22:46

arrange to meet him then send DH instead - that would give him something to think about.

galaxy · 28/01/2005 22:46

HOw do you know he's a bloke and the meetup is arranged now so he'll probably turn up anyway and "lurk"

WestCountryLass · 28/01/2005 22:48

Soapbox, you are so clever!!!

beansprout · 28/01/2005 22:48

Good on you for outing YG.
Can we now start a thread with this person's user name so it is clear to everyone? The title of this thread is a bit obscure and we are potentially talking about people's safety (and trust in MN).
