To wonder how many of you get on with your in laws?

Just that really - I find 85% of the family on my partners side so bloody difficult! My immediate family are much more smoother going. I’m just curious if it’s an “in-law” thing?!

my in-laws were lovely, interesting and hospitable people.

Mine are amazing have treat me like one of their own

I love mine. Mind you some of them don't get on with each other but I like them all.

Mine are wonderful, which is hardly surprising as they raised my lovely husband!

I love mine. And infinitely prefer my PILs to my parents.

My Mum and father in law are lovely. I've been married for 30 years and they have always treated me as part of the family virtually since day one.

I can just about cope in the presence of my in-laws for an hour or two, but they are so different to my own family and life, that i just can’t understand them! Very strange people. DH is totally of my opinion luckily so we just get on with our life and see them when we need to.

Mine are absolutely awful, the lot of them. God knows how DH came from them because he's absolutely nothing like them.

Love them. They are just lovely, ordinary, kind people. Fantastic grandparents. Far less highly strung than my parents.

MIL and FIL are lovely, treat me equally as part of the family, get on very well. SIL is another issue however!

I love mine. DH loves his. And both sets love each other.

My in laws are great. I wish my family were as straightforward!

Mine are great. My parents, well just my Mum now, get on well with my PIL which is think says a lot. My SIL is very different to me and my friends but we still get on well and have a lot of respect for each other. Her kids are older than mine and I admire her enormously as a parent.

My own family have their moments but my in-laws are a bunch of dicks.

My parents in law died many years ago, but I got on with them really well. They were fab.
My own family... not so much (polite version).

My mil is lovely. My fil is a bit of a twat but we rub along ok.

Mine isn’t interested in the slightest about us including the children when they were small but comes running when something is broken or she can’t do something in particular
tbh she’s a user and I’m polite but don’t deal with her unless I have to

Love mine. Even call my MIL mum.

I wish I had good ones! They are just not good people and certainly not people I want my children around.

My PILS were lovely. Some issues with some of the others, but maybe more on their side with me than on my side with them.

I have always got on with inlaws, they’ve been lovely and welcoming. Much preferred the extended family compared to mine

They're dead, so I suppose I get on with them just fine. It's my parents who were the disinterested/judgemental/playing favourites arseholes, so I think if you asked my Ex they'd probably be in the horrible in-laws camp.

I like my in laws. They are very nice people.

We have the odd moment but 90% of the time they're supportive, kind and good to be around. Just don't fly longhaul with them....

My mil is fine, wouldn’t say we are close but see her once a week and she’s no trouble.
