Hope you all find me.

Welcome back Binkle, glad you had a good time. DP stays in the Waldorf Astoria when he's in NY. I have to content myself with the pilfered toiletries
we should plan another meet-up. Where this time? I'd feel guilty of it was London again.
I've spent the day covering up crayon scribble on the walls with brilliant white matt emulsion. The dining room and kitchen look miles better. The floor's finished and I spent yesterday cleaning up a fine layer of dust from the entire house. Ready to drop now.
Zzzzzzzzz

I don't mind where we meet up. I am wondering though whether it would suit Oggs better to meet up during her 2 weeks with her parents in the summer?
I've missed the Oliver/Nancy thing so far.
Lyra what is it like when the oldest starts school and then the youngest is at nursery?

Berrie · 28/03/2008 08:31

I only ask as I have visions of me painting over our scribble but I think it far more likely that I will watch tv all day like Binkle does with the dog!

Zebedeedoodah · 28/03/2008 08:57

'fine layer of dust, ehh Lyra?' I think I only have thick layers

Re meet-ups - selfishly London works best for me (or Cornwall!), mainly because I'd have serious childcare problems anywhere else , errr, unless we make it Cambridge. Hmmm - sorry.

And yes, the Nancy thing started the week before last, with, you guessed it, DvO and John Barrowman as 2 of the judges. But at the audition stages we also got a few bits of Lee adding his two-penneth-worth. All good fun. The live shows start this Saturday I think.

oggsfrog · 28/03/2008 09:18

Thanks for thinking of me Berrie, but actually, it's probably easier not to do the meet-up whilst I'm at my Mums and Dad's. I'd hate to cut into the time I spend with them, and dh is very accomodating . Tbh my main prob is money (it was the hotel wot done for me guv), but with enough notice I can manage to get anywhere (weather permitting ) .
What was he like on the prog Zeb? More confident? Smiley?
Look who's playing Fagin (prob old news to all you tv owners). Actually I can see him in the part.

Zebedeedoodah · 28/03/2008 09:25

Fab! Blackadder does Fagin

Zebedeedoodah · 28/03/2008 09:26

Sorry Oggs, he was just.... normal. Nice. Sweet. Dare I say it, bland? Still a cutey though.

Berrie · 28/03/2008 09:29

I guess London has the most direct transport for all of us. Never say no to Cornwall though!

Zebedeedoodah · 28/03/2008 09:36

Cornwall's fine! We have barns, fields, woods, even concrete floors you can sleep on!!!! And you'd all be more than welcome - we could also stay up all night getting hammered without worrying about the last train home or annoying the neighbours with our rowdy singing along to musicals!
And flights to Newquay aren't so bad.....

oggsfrog · 28/03/2008 09:40

I do like London. Maybe next time I shall do the Covent Garden Travelodge. You can get a single room for £29!
I wasn't that fussed about the breakfast at The Strand Palace (mass produced school dinnerish) and I'm sure there would be somewhere in London that I could get breakfast . It was nice that we were all in the same place though...
Might be better to do it when there's a slight chance of better weather and less chance of me being buffeted and diverted 100 or so miles .

oggsfrog · 28/03/2008 09:44

Cornwall good too. Not sure that I can fly direct to Newquay though, and does the tube extend to Cornwall?

Zebedeedoodah · 28/03/2008 09:46

No, not exactly.....

oggsfrog · 28/03/2008 09:52

Ah. The £29 Travelodge room was for a Sunday night. It's £105 during week .

oggsfrog · 28/03/2008 10:00

Was joking about the tube

Zebedeedoodah · 28/03/2008 10:10

Bournemouth? Went to a Tory conference there once.

Zebedeedoodah · 28/03/2008 10:21

Ooops, did I just kill the thread using the T-word?

Zeb quickly thinks up recovery plan. A-ha!!! What about Les Mis? Haven't seen that in a few years.

Phew, I think I got away with it....

Berrie · 28/03/2008 12:13

I REALLY want to see Les Mis!

Berrie · 28/03/2008 12:16

Plumber just left...we had gas leak. We could have blown up...that's dh and his I'll sort it out in an illegal manner for you. I've told him we have to rethink our ways around gas things and he says we'll talk about rethinking our ways over a drink tonight It cost £70. We'd better meet up soon, we are down to our last £2000 savings. It is supposed to be an ISA for my pension but it loses money every year.

Berrie · 28/03/2008 12:27

Oggs. Now I know how to get to my brothers from the centre...one tube and he'd pick us up from the station, maybe we could go there? I'm sure he wouldn't mind.

Berrie · 28/03/2008 13:13

Getting hens tomorrow all being well.
What do you think of these?

Zebedeedoodah · 28/03/2008 14:09

They are soooo cute. I'm getting all clucky now
And you could get free accommodation in London? That would be great!

Zebedeedoodah · 28/03/2008 14:34

Just checked briefly for Les Mis tickets. Being a technical luddite, it looks like it's £55!

Berrie · 29/03/2008 07:47

Chicken day today, chicken day today, ee ai adyo chicken day today!

LyraSilvertongue · 29/03/2008 08:29

Wayhey Berrie! Are you excited? (silly question )
To answer your quesation from yesterday, if flipping great when DC are at school and nursery. DS1 is full time and DS2 goes to nursery from 9 till 11.30am so I have from 8.45 (when DP leaves the house to take them to school) till 11.30 free.
I sometimes go back to bed if I'm knackered or use the time to catch up on housework/go shopping/meet friends for coffee/go swimming or to the gym. I quite often spend the morning in bed with Matthew Wright .
It was great at Christmas because it meant I could go present shopping without the little monkeys darlings in tow.
DS2 will be in full-time school from next January so I'll be free all day.

The problem with being at work so early is no-one else is on MN at this ungodly hour so I'm killing threads left, right and centre. Ho hum.
