Hope you all find me.

OP posts:
Berrie · 22/04/2008 11:29

Ok today Zeb?

Zebedeedoodah · 22/04/2008 12:09

Thanks Oggs!!! I got a clip of him this am on tv in the new movie he's done with Ewan McGregor (double whammy, thank you very much )

And yes, not so bad today thank you Berrie. Are you better today? The citalopram only took a couple of days to start working on me, so hopefully things should start looking up for you very soon too (setting aside the last week or so, they've really worked for me).

The good news is that the plumbers started today so hopefully that should be in a better state by the end of the week. The joiner we were sueing for being all round crap and taking our money has also now caved in and we should have our shutters within around a month, which means we can then crack on with finishing the 2 main rooms. So yes, things are beginning to look up.

Berrie · 22/04/2008 13:11

Hurrah! Sounds good Zeb.

I had a strange dream last night. Dh and I were watching a programme with Jeremy Clarkson about Monster Trucks on a beach (thanks DS - he's obsessed) then me and dh were on the beach in Cornwall - it was lovely). I had a quick swim then we went back to our holiday house whereupon dh turned into a woman called Lisa and we had lesbian sex (as you do). I worried briefly about whether it counted as being unfaithful but carried on anyway. I'll spare you the details!

Zebedeedoodah · 22/04/2008 14:25

Thank God, I've just had lunch. Would you like me to find a lesbian called Lisa down here for you? And it's only counted as unfaithful if you're a Roman Catholic, otherwise you're probably fine.

Berrie · 22/04/2008 15:23

Pass on that one Zeb....why do you know one?

Zebedeedoodah · 22/04/2008 15:30

'fraid not, but then again, I don't get out much

Berrie · 22/04/2008 16:23

Snigger!

oggsfrog · 22/04/2008 18:15

Hurrah. Dh has gone out to a meeting so I can do Hugh tonight, so to speak .
Got to decide between Animal Attraction and Paperback Hero. Don't really fancy Animal Attraction but needs must when Hugh is involved eh?

Berrie, yes occasionally Mr Fox takes a chicken but tbh there is so much space here they're not too much of a problem.
They all troop into their house at dusk and we lock them in until morning.

LyraSilvertongue · 22/04/2008 18:54

In the last few days I've seen a Berrieb and a Lyra75 posting on the MN boards
The good news is the children went back to school today so I had some peace and quiet. And the weather's been lovely. 23 degrees. It's almost like summer. what's summer, I hear you ask. Well, if i cast my mind back, way, way back I might remember.

oggsfrog · 22/04/2008 19:13

We've had a beautiful day too Lyra. Shame I've been stuck inside all day sending out festi tickets

Berrie · 22/04/2008 19:50

I know there is a Berry but a Berrieb? Would I like her?

I have planted all sorts of things this afternoon, it was lovely to be out!

Berrie · 22/04/2008 19:55

I'm recording Holby City and How To Look Good Naked as I associate hem with having a drink.

How many chickens do you have Oggs. With only five very individual birds, losing one would be a tradgy...

oggsfrog · 23/04/2008 07:16

Eight at the moment, but i had about 20 at one point last year.
Oh, they are all individuals .

Berrie · 23/04/2008 07:32

So has the fox had 12 or have you eaten some?

No booze again last night. I slept so well though it did take ages to get to sleep. Right today is where I slipped up last week...I might never watch TV again at this rate. I love a bottle glass of wine while watching the apprentice.

oggsfrog · 23/04/2008 07:39

Oh, well done you! Can you tape the apprentice too? Often it takes a little while to change your habits.
Dh used to smoke (years ago now) in front of the computer. When he stopped I changed the room around so everything was in a different place and he had a different view from the windo. It seemed to help.

7 of those from last year have been eaten or are waiting to be eaten by us . One of mine once went broody on a nest out in some brashings and Mr Fox got her and all her chicks bar one . Bastard.

'Tis upsetting, but it's life out here in the wilderness, after all Mrs Fox has her cubs to feed. I suppose having free-ranging cats and dog help too.

Got to go, should have got dd up by now...

BottlebinBerrie · 23/04/2008 08:25

So how does it work? Do you and dh say...mmmm I fancy chicken tonight, go and cull Henrietta.
If we were going to eat one of ours, it would be Snowbell, the light sussexy one. I often find myself thinking how delicious she looks...nice and plump!

oggsfrog · 23/04/2008 09:04

What's with the name change madam?
Nah we usually have a cull once a year when we think the cockerels are fat enough, then freeze them.
We keep the extra cockerels together in a large run (30odd feet x 20? am crap at estimating size) to make catching them easier.
One got away last year so is running with the others. we'll need to do him soon although he looks a bit scrawny.

BottlebinBerrie · 23/04/2008 09:59

Do you keep them together in a run to stop them fighting in the flock or to stop them getting lean with all the exercise or only for catching?

Dh had to empty our recycling at the bottle bin as I was too ashamed to put it out on the street this week.

BottlebinBerrie · 23/04/2008 10:34

Woo hoo, egg in the nest box this morning. Not so great as it was nestling with lots of poos as that nest box is their favourite place to poo at night but it's a start! I really will ahve to find someone to sell me a bale of straw instead of these piddling bags for £3 each as am having to clean out nest box every day.

LyraSilvertongue · 23/04/2008 13:27

Just been to the docs and I've got to have a scan for possible gall stones. If I have got them I'll have to either stick to a low-fat diet (no chips, chocolate, red meat, cheese etc) or have it out I might also have to cut down on wine, which is probably a good thing.

OP posts:
BottlebinBerrie · 23/04/2008 14:12

My Mum lost looooaaaads of weight when she had gall stones 'cause she couldn't eat anything nice basically. Poor you, what are your symptoms? (Berrie adjusts stethoscope around neck)

LyraSilvertongue · 23/04/2008 14:48

Baically just sharp stabbing pains in my right side under the lower front ribs. Especially after eating chocolate or anything else fatty and when drinking wine

OP posts:
BottlebinBerrie · 23/04/2008 19:10

Oh dear. When is the scan?

LyraSilvertongue · 23/04/2008 19:39

Not got the appointment yet.
Are you managing to stay off the grog tonight?

OP posts:
BottlebinBerrie · 23/04/2008 19:39

Yep but it's not easy...
