Ooh, that went quickly... hope you all had a lovely time
Don't think it will take you long to catch up

I'm just about to take the plunge and phone to book tickets to see Joseph

oggsfrog · 11/04/2008 20:07

Booked.
Only ones left were in the gallery, but managed to get three together on the end of the front row, so we won't have anyone in front of us to impede the view of Craig .
Don't know how on earth I'm going to get through 2 hours of a semi-clad Craig . I suppose I could remove my glasses and view it all in fuzzyvision .

Berrie · 12/04/2008 09:16

Not sure I envy you that one Oggs!
Helloooo Lyra! Did you meet Micky Mouse?

Berrie · 12/04/2008 09:16

Where are Binkle and Zeb?

Berrie · 13/04/2008 08:19

Sob...Billy no mates me...

oggsfrog · 13/04/2008 09:34

Morning How's things chez Berrie? Chooks okay?

Berrie · 13/04/2008 11:46

Yup. We've been putting up extra weld mesh on the run. I realised we needed more protection when my Mum's new dog leaped up and put his jaws around the chicken wire!
The are not very tame and when we let them out in the garden they are finding their way to the perimeter of the garden and the spinney beyond our garden otherwise known as fox land. We are rubbish at trying to herd them back to the coop though a lot of this is the dc who have no herding instincts whatsoever!
How's things with you? Got a name for the pony yet?

oggsfrog · 13/04/2008 13:59

No name as yet. Mr Scruff is today's preferred moniker .
Having a lazy day today in preparation for dd's return to school tomorrow.

oggsfrog · 14/04/2008 06:49

Hello
Right. Weight at an absolute all time high. Action must be taken.

Berrie · 14/04/2008 07:14

Morning! Shall I change my weigh in day to Monday too. I wonder if I've hit 14.01 today. Will nip off and check!

Berrie · 14/04/2008 07:18

No not quite.
My Mum asked me If I'd lost weight yesterday. Before I could mouth a reply DH had laughed and referred her to the graph above the fridge! 'Quite the opposite!' he said.

oggsfrog · 14/04/2008 08:38

I'm 14.3 (wasn't going to 'fess up on here but am hoping that the 'name and shame' strategy will help )
I'm really kicking myself. I was less than this in Jan 2006 when I decided that enough was enough. Since then I've been down to 12 and put it all back on again. My face looks awfully bloated and the only clothes I've got that fit are either elasticated or contain lycra (not a good look).
Bugger. Bugger. Only have piggy self to blame but it's going to be so much harder to lose this time as my knee and hip are buggered

Berrie · 14/04/2008 08:49

What does that tell you about diets though? They certainly make me put on weight anyway. It's at this weight that it shows on my face and I can't kid myself any more. My 'top tummy' also becomes harder to ignore.
I really need to stop drinking. It's becoming more and more of a problem for me. I also need to do more walking. This would help my back and my depression too. Why is it that the things that are good for us are so hard to do?
What has happened to your hip and knee?

Berrie · 14/04/2008 08:53

Get your Mum to record How To Look Good Naked. I think it's on Tuesdays. I'd do it for you myself but the video recorder is not working. I'll check that it's not just full of dvd's dd has posted. It doesn't try to change the women but make them feel better about themselves. It always makes me feel better about myself anyway!

Berrie · 14/04/2008 08:54

Wey hey, you just signed in!
I'm spotty too...and bloodshot eyes every morning. I feel like a raddled old hag...

Berrie · 14/04/2008 08:56

If I didn't drink at night, I might clear up the kitchen before I went to bed.
I might make dh some sandwiches for work and iron him a shirt.

Berrie · 14/04/2008 08:57

If dh didn't drink at night he might do these things instead which would be even better!

oggsfrog · 14/04/2008 08:59

'Iron'... what is this? I haven't had an iron for over 10 years...

Berrie · 14/04/2008 09:03

Your dh doesn't go to work in a shirt and tie either!

oggsfrog · 14/04/2008 09:04

To be fair my weight gain was not caused by dieting, not directly anyway. It was caused by thinking 'I need to diet. I'll start tomorrow. I won't be able to eat chips/cake/sweets/mash/bread/biscuits/ice cream etc etc so I'll have them today before I start my diet'.
This was my thought process every day for a month.... always the magical 'tomorrow'

Berrie · 14/04/2008 09:17

For me I do diet and I feel so deprived I make up for it after a few days.

Zebedeedoodah · 14/04/2008 11:17

Morning all
Awful busy end of last week - we had the 'man from the ministry' over to check our cattle and passports were in order. NOT a nice experience as it was really stressful waiting for it to happen and praying all our records were correct. Still, everything was ok, thank God!

Right, what's been happening? Berrie, Oggs, I think we need a 'step away from the booze' pact again, as I'm just the same. So, no more mid-week drinking as of now?

LyraSilvertongue · 14/04/2008 11:36

Berrie, I'm ditching the demon drink too. I've been drinking far too much wine and enough is enough. We could abstain together if you like. I'm sure we'd both lose some weight too.

LyraSilvertongue · 14/04/2008 11:41

And you Zeb. That's three then? Any more?
Berrie, have you ever tried Atkins? if not, go and buy the book! The best part about it is you don't feel deprived (except of sugar and that goes after a few days) or hungry.
Btw, I will get round to posting those Disney pics soon. Ish.
We're waiting for the cat lady at the moment who's supposed to check over out home and see if we're suitable to adopt a cat from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.
I've also just had a look at our planning application online and the officer is preparing his report . The target date for a decision is Wednesday.
if they say no again we'll appeal this time. But that will take yet another 6 months.
