Anyone got their tree up yet?!

My dh is desperate to get our xmas tree going...I prefer to wait until the week before xmas. Anyone else starting early?

put up yesterday, but was going to leave it til next week but have dp and his parents coming so thought best to do it this weekend

Getting one thursday dp's day off would put it up now if I had it I am addicted to the lights!Have already attemted to saw branches off our holly tree in an attempt to decorate something Let him have his tree today!!!!!!!!!

If it was up to dh and ds's tree would be up today. If it was up to me it would be the week before Christmas. So we're compromising and it will be next weekend. Only one or two up round here so far.

Putting mine up today - put wreath on front door and have done garland over fireplace. Waiting for dh to bring tree in from the garage as it's enormous and very heavy.

Bloody hate doing the lights but love doing the baubles!

I have, did mine yesterday, mainly cos i'm painting the hall and the tree was in the box there so I had to do something with it! still thinking about out door lights thou.... do i really want them up as well.. hmmmmmm

put mine up yesterday and am decorating it and house today. feels way too early but we are going on holiday on the 27th december so seems no point if we don't do it now.

We bought ours on Wednesday and decorated it on Thursday.

Maybe a few days earlier than usual but I'm having a party at my house on Wednesday, I have company all next weekend, I'll be in England the following weekend and then it's Christmas.

Dh and the girls put the tree up on friday while I was out, appartently the girls saw a tree on the telly and were going on about it, so DH got the tree down and they all decorated it..... bless Smile

Haven't bought mine yet, but intend buying it this week so it will probably be up soon after that.

Saw a great sign today. One of those vans parked in a lay-by and a sign facing each way saying

CHRISTMAS TREES AND WREAFS. Made me smile!

Put ours up yesterday - much earlier than usual but have loads of christmas things going on at school so thought we's get in the swing of things. Played Christmas music and today ds has watched The Snowman! And we're having mince pies for tea - I'll be so over it by the 25th!

DP resurrected our rampantly fake tree from the attic last week and the inferiorettes and he had a lovely time putting baubles on it. Including things DD1 made LAST year at playgroup as well as this year. Felt quite teary at this emerging Family Tradition.

will be putting ours up in the week as at the mo got a hangover cos of works do last night that i went to. im looking 4ward this xmas as its my baba's 1st xmas (she is 8 weeks old). last year we didnt put it up until 2 weeks before xmas as i wasnt in a merry mood cos my beloved aunty died last year and no-one felt merry, but now im better Smile.... i havent written out my xmas list yet (oops!) will do shopping this week.

It's obviously just me who's a miseryguts then - better let him get one tomorrow! I love the lights too, just know how overexcited dd's will be...but do need it up early this year as due with 4th on 21st Dec! Thanks for all your replies, feeling almost festive now! And Lonelymum, that made me smile too - so arfur daly! Grin
