do kids at private school catch nits?

my ds attends the local state primary and great though it is, he constantly is infested with nits.

Anyway, about a year ago a friend of mine moved her ds from the same school to a private one and is always droning on about how great it is.

The latest oneupmanship is that her ds never gets nits now and continued to say they she bets it's a state school epidemic.

i told her that was crap. It is, isnt it?

Yes they do...

Blu - yep
I got a sweetly cheering message when we joined the school, saying "and it's ever such a good way to meet the other girls!".

Thing is ... my turn is coming up, and I've never seen a louse (except, er, a downstairs one - do they look the same?)

Oh, goodness, I realise no-one can answer that question without having to face up to knowing both sorts. Tact ahoy. Sorry

has no-one heard the expression too posh to wash?

onebatmother · 06/02/2008 21:49

yes i know that's got nothing to do with lice or arse-worms but..
I love the idea of reeking mothers picking up their violin-case-toting behatted darlings, whose boaters are actually moving.

Perhaps we could make a documentary? Use CGI to swoop in on a macro closeup of posh people's scalps and bowels? You know, with those whooshy sound effects they use.
