There's a bit of a Welsh connection...
let's say the surname is Chapters (it's not, but that's closeish)

Max Chapters sounds a bit like an American thriller writer (although I do like the name Max). I vote for Sam ? which sounds great (to me, at least) whether he turns out to be a hunky rugby player or a bespectacled bookish type.

I like Isaac because he can shorten it to Zac if he wants it when he's older.

Would have picked Max except Secur is right - it sounds like make-up!

Ben is nice but I know hundreds of them! Mind you, I've got a Thomas and there are even more of those so just ignore me!

I like Sam. Always thought it was quite a cuddly name.

Personally I would be old fashioned and go for the full length version of these names, so my choice would be

The other 3 I don't much like.

Evan or Issac if the others are the shortened forms. I think I prefer the sound of two syllables

I'm with Crunchie, prefer the full versions, would probably pick Samuel as no1, followed by Issac, followed by Benjamin.

Max or Issac or Ben. Don't know any real Max(s) or Issac(s) but all the Ben(s) I know are great guys and good looking.(yes, very shallow)

I think Sam or Ben, prefer Sam. Max and Isaac are a bit too "of the moment" for me.

I'm afraid i'm not keen on the others and as a Welsh speaker I wouldn't count Evan as a Welsh boys' name.

I rather like Isaac, and love the shortened Zak.
