But its all i can afford to do. I have £20 per child to spend. I have 2 children and i've decided that for them to get the most out of their money that charity shops are the best option. I feel like such a loser and i'm ashamed of myself. I feel like i am letting them down in some way. I know they are only young (6 & 4) so wont know but i'll know. I feel like i've failed.

going to be the same here unless i sort out the idiot who took my money from paypal but not sent me the 4 presents i have ordered from them for my dcs

having been in debt before, I refuse to go into debt again. It is a pride thing though and the feeling of watching your kids open presents that you know used to belong to someone else, but its better that someone gets the use out of them than them ending up in the landfill!!

I feel quite proud of the charity shop bargains I get for dd. I save money. She has something she loves. I put effort and love into finding the perfect thing. I'm donating to a good cause. I'm not contributing to 3rd world sweat shop businesses making cheap tat for Christmas. I'm doing my bit for the environment - reduce, reuse, recycle .

You should feel proud too.
