Hi

I've never started a thread on here before, but I really need your help.

My 2 year old little boy, Oliver, has just cried himself to sleep for the third night in a row because we have lost his comforter that he sleeps with. I've found one on ebay but the seller will not consider a 'Buy It Now'.

It is a Tesco Puppy Hugs comforter in blue with a picture of a train on his tummy. These were sold in Tesco in 2003 and 2004, possibly earlier as well. I bought it the day I found out I was having a boy and intended to buy another as a spare but they were discontinued by the time he was born.

This is the one on ebay if you think you may have one:

If you have one, or know of one, that is not used then please, please, get in touch. I will pay for it and any p&p costs.

I hope that someone out there can help, he is just so sad.

Thank you for reading,
Bethxx

I presume you'll be bidding for the eBay one even still ? ..... I hope you're successful.

Have you also considered contacting Tesco ? You never know - they might just have one knocking about at the back of an old warehouse - though I have to admit that my experience of their customer service has never been great, it must be worth a try.

My daughter was really upset - far more than I had anticipated when we went on holiday without the bear she sleeps with ... it's a huge thing that we couldn't have packed. We managed to "get away" with it by buying her a completely different bear and convincing her Big Bear had sent his little friend to look after her. Mind you, I suppose in that case she knew Big Bear would be waiting at home for her. I suspect you may have already tried something similar ?

try another thread with the actual product description in the title... might be worth a try perhaps

Thanks for your replies.

It's not really helping that my 3 year old dd has one in pink (she does have a spare). He sees hers and wants his even more. I've offered him her spare one but it's not his 'special' one so isn't good enough!

I will be bidding on the ebay one but it doesn't end until the 8th, would really like to get one before that.

Poor ds and you. did you explain to the ebay seller that it was a life or death sitch and offer to pay (far) more than it was worth? I'm thinking that something like this surely can't go for more than a fiver second hand so 9 quid might secure it? Maybe try again?

Piffle · 02/11/2007 22:18

moljam · 02/11/2007 23:01

i cant seem to see your link for some reason but is there one on thishttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BUNDLE-OF-TESCO-PUPPY-HUGS-SOFT-TOYS-COMFORTERpic on right hand side?

MumWilliams · 02/11/2007 23:10

I sympathise, my 2 yr old wont go to sleep without his blanky either.. but on a slightly different note, that's perhaps a bit of light at the end of this tunnel..

My mother told me that when i was 2, my fave dolly fell out my pram on a walk and never found it again, after about a week of crying myself to sleep, i gave up and never needed anything to sleep with ever again. Which was their 'lucky break' from being dependant on anything like that

did you find one ?

bethw · 06/11/2007 19:30

Hi all

Thanks to everyone for their help, I've got one now. I bought one on ebay as part of a bundle.

I may resell the rest of the items to get some of the money back but I'll check out the sites where people have posted lost toys to see if I've a match first. Don't like to think of some other little one being as upset as Oliver was.

Awww! So glad you got one

We found a little rabbit comforter one day, I nearly took it home for my baby but left it on the windowsill where I hoped someone would retarce their steps and find it.

Now I know that website is there, I'll never leave a lost bunny again!!

Anyone who lost a kanga toy in Canterbury about 4 years ago, please contact me as it's still here!!!
