How old is too old for mini skirts?

I have taken to wearing shortish skirts again (above knee by a bit) and after watching WNTW tonight I am worrying a bit. That woman did not look her best in those minis. I am still in my 20s and have quite decent legs...can I get away with them? Tend to wear classier ones with tights and slouchy boots as opposed to fishnets and heels.

Terrified of becoming old woman dressing as if I am 17!

Oh god, if you're still in your twenties, don't worry. I'm nearly 40 and am still wearing them (with horrible bad foils as you know!) and I felt a twinge of unease this evening!

as long as your wobbly bits (if any) arent on show that you should be ok. i'm looking for some nice maternity skirts and a nice pair of boots so i can look somewhat 'cool' this winter.

someone once said to me if you're comfortable then you look ok. It's only when you start to feel uncomfortable in them it's time to stop. I've stuck to this and my skirts now reach my ankles

the woman on WNTW haad awful knees, so as long as you say your legs are good then keep wearing them. Im in my 20's and also wear them with boots and tights in the cold days we are having.

Phew. I am 24 BTW.

I am very paranoid about dressing badly. I spent last winter either pregnant or very fat so I am determined to be glam this year! I adore wearing patterned tights and boots with skirts, feel lovely in them!

I don't do mini but still quite short with patterned tights & boots but, whisper, I've just been 36...

I do have good legs though - allegedly

Me too Twink - and I'm 35. I wouldn't wear really short skirts anymore (I used to.....) but I have a couple that are above the knee - and I wear them with boots and patterned tights too. And my legs are not bad either

I wear minis day and night with boots and I am 32, if you are comfortable and have a reasonable figure,
then why not?

OOoooh I'm soooo jealous ... I've always had horrible legs and now have horrible fat legs so always wear trousers & long skirts

Wear whatever make you feel comfortable. If you THINK you look good, then you give off confidence which MAKES you looke good

I'm with Hercules - doesn't matter how old you are as long as you've got the legs to carry it off - I'm in my 40s and have decent legs so would wear one if I had somewhere to wear one to

I don't like them at all - good legs or no - its something about knees - not a very attractive part of the body imo!

Lou, I am 38 and still wear them if I go out on the town (which is all too rarely these days). Wear them with thick lycra tights and boots, mind you, but a couple of my skirts just cover my bum. Don't give a stuff really if T & S think I am a tart!! Trinny really is very pretty though (cow!)
