mothernature · 24/10/2004 00:14

A whole lotta month and not enough money...

marthamoo · 24/10/2004 00:34

This month....minus nothing....oops. Roll on payday!

jampot · 24/10/2004 00:39

we currently have about £1000 between us after everything including food (£400) fuel (£100)but excluding any credit card payments (cleared down each month)

nikkim · 24/10/2004 00:40

Dp and I have about a grand each but have to buy ffod out of that which is about £100 a week. This is in theory though as we are always broke , dp also ahs to work an extra half day a week to earn his half of our income to pay for doing up the house.

nikkim · 24/10/2004 00:42

I think I must have missed off an expense as we are always broke and even i can't be that bad with money. will be back with the real figure

lou33 · 24/10/2004 00:46

Minus this month here, as well.

well I have worked out where my money goes. My cat has just come in crying for food so has just dined on a plate of prawns!!!

jampot · 24/10/2004 01:05

frigging hell nikkim - what do you lot eat then if your cat gets prawns

nikkim · 24/10/2004 01:07

I am a tad obsessive with food!! the prawns were buy one get one free and she only gets a handful a day. I got the cat from a sanctuary and that was what they fed her on there.

Our food bill is about £100 a week so don't think we are too extravagent.

lilsmum · 24/10/2004 06:48

about 650 per month... but that has to pay for food, petrol etc. seems quite alot when wrote down but not believe me lol!!! x

misdee · 24/10/2004 08:11

about £1500. but £500 of that is the kids disability money and they need a lot atm.

mieow · 24/10/2004 09:35

about 1200, but 500 of that is the kids disablity money. Also we are working hard to reduce our debts, and our bills are now about 700 a month, instead of the 1400 they were. After food, petrol etc, we have about 700 left.

wobblyknicks · 24/10/2004 10:42

A few coppers left in my purse!!!

acer · 24/10/2004 11:08

not alot!

linniewith2 · 24/10/2004 12:07

At the mo not alot matternity leave pay is crippling us we have lost £500.00 a mnth and I'm still getting smp !

Wallace · 24/10/2004 15:59

you lot seem to have more left over each month than we have coming in each month

charliecat · 24/10/2004 16:02

Left over for food petrol bus fares stickers newpapers choccy dps baccy school this that and the other...between 60 and 100 a week.

paolosgirl · 24/10/2004 17:20

Money left over??? What does that mean?!! We seem to live on our overdraft. No idea where the money goes, as we have a good joint income, and certainly don't have an extravagent lifestyle. Oh, and dh is an accountant!

misdee · 24/10/2004 17:23

it sounds a lot, but when you have huge petrol costs, hospital appt, specialist clothes, food to buy, etc etc, i'm left with aout £200 a month for luxeries really.

libb · 24/10/2004 17:32

what defines a luxury though? I would say off the top of my head we have about £60-80 per month for stuff that isn't crucial but that makes life nicer for us - and we both work full time . . .
