And wenches can use their imaginations to make the temperature rise and anything else they can think of.

Morning
I think today will be a repeat of yesterday - work and then more chores. What a glam life. And DS has a friend staying tonight. Probably. A day before DSis & her family arrive. Excellent timing Hmm

Laters.....

ApricotCrush · 06/08/2019 17:49

Evening.

We couldn't do much with DGS today as it's been raining on and off all day, but we did manage to go and feed the swans, ducks, geese et al.

We're going to the caravan at some point tomorrow for the rest of the week.

Hope LetUs is enjoying herself, Helen's headache has gone, Fancy has a lovely time with her DSis and family and WW is ... where is she? ... under Kylo's cloak? Smile

Have a lovely time at the Caravan Apricot. I hope that Kylo has given his cloak a wash recently - it'll be getting a bit stuffy/smelly under there by now, no? But yes, Wicked has been awol for a while. Maybe they're in the bath?

Fancy - get DS to do the relevant tidying and laundry?

Headache had gone by this morning - hopefully not coming back again tonight

I am 'hysterial', you know... Hmm Grin

Lovely weather this morning. Not sure it will last. It was lovely weather yesterday when I left for work without a coat... and monsooning when I came out of work.

Actually, thinking about it, I think 'hilarious' was the word - not 'hysterical', but if the cap fits, and all that!

FancyFancy · 07/08/2019 08:44

Morning. Feeling sleepy as DS got in around 5.30am with friend who was staying the night, forgetting that the spare room was off limits as it's made up for Dsis arriving tonight. Had to get up & turf him out of that bed & set up the sofa bed. Felt a bit mean, but for ffs, if DS actually paid any attention to what I say he'd have remembered that room was not available

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 07/08/2019 10:47

I'm still alive, haven't had anything exciting to post about. Can't believe I have to go back to work on Monday Confused

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 07/08/2019 18:35

She lives!!!!!!!!!!!! Since when has lack of excitement in our lives stopped us posting?! Have you done no laundry? Had no comments on the weather?! Wink

FFS indeed Fancy - does his head need a MN-style wobble?

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 07/08/2019 19:25

How could I forget! I did do laundry on Tuesday!!! Grin

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 07/08/2019 19:38

Which was yesterday because today is Wednesday, my brain isn't really functioning.

LetUsPrey · 07/08/2019 19:48

Cooooeeeeeeeee!!!!!

Back home to the land of WiFi which lets me post properly instead of odds and sods here and there, and the occasional like and share on Facebook. Shall have a catch up later but hope all wenches are well.

Am mid-washing sort

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 07/08/2019 20:17

LetUs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The HBFs are please to see you as well. They're ready and waiting...

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 07/08/2019 22:11

Welcome home Letus Smile

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 07/08/2019 22:54

Also, did you have a lovely time? Are you sun-drenched and relaxed?

FancyFancy · 08/08/2019 08:40

Morning
Dsis & family arrived safely yesterday, welcome back letus & ww!

Right, work. Laters.......

LetUsPrey · 08/08/2019 08:58

Morning wenches.

Stuff I can remember - hope that MiniHelen is on the mend, that wobbly bear is no longer wobbly, that no wenches have been washed away in the rain, and that Wicked stops feeling even a bit guilty for doing nothing. Oh and Fancy’s rather wonderful Poldark gif Grin

Holiday was —mostly— fab. Mysteriously we didn’t transform into the Waltons just because we were on holiday but other than that, we all enjoyed the sun and the pool and the food. Was very hot and I am indeed —a bit tanned— looking sun-kissed and golden. I did have a rather full on reaction to an insect bite which included my upper arm swelling a bit and going very red but thankfully it calmed down and the redness eventually receded.

Back in the land of reality though including much washing, dentist and doctor visits.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 08/08/2019 12:29

I'm sure that the HBFs have missed your updates LetUs. Fancy has been struggling wenchfully on to keep them entertained (I expect, I can't imagine that she hasn't) since your lists have significant overlaps. And as we know, Wicked has been under Kylo's cloak for weeks.

Glad to hear that you had a good time though, even if MrLetUs didn't understand why no-one got personality and mood transplants just because you were on holiday.

ApricotCrush · 08/08/2019 17:56

Afternoon from sunny at the moment Wales. Thunderstorms forecast for tomorrow which should be fun.

We went a walk round the beach this morning and spent the afternoon on the decking being competitive over sudokus. Hmm

Glad LetUs had a good time and WW is still alive.

Ah Fancy, such a helpful wench to return the favour Grin. A return favour - sounds like an interesting position to get into with an HBF or two.

Hope any rain and storms you get are brief Apricot.

Have visited parents this morning, then had a dental appointment, then an asthma check up, and have done many many loads of washing.

I am now watching A Room With A View. I bloody love this film. I’m such a soppy romantic at times. I bought the book in 1989 and took it on holiday to Italy with me, saved it to read whilst I was there. I take it with me now every holiday abroad.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 08/08/2019 19:42

I love A Room With A View Smile That kiss in the field, sigh Smile

LetUsPrey · 08/08/2019 20:08

Agreed Wicked. I may have rewound that bit a couple of times. I looked him up and Julian Sands is 61!

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 08/08/2019 22:27

Shock No! He's 61?

I have been blitzing the house for an unexpected visit from relatives who I thought were staying elsewhere, but are in fact staying here

LetUsPrey · 09/08/2019 07:52

Morning wenches. Fuck off rain. Just fuck off. And leave Apricot alone too in her caravan.

January 1958 for Julian Sands. I’m a bit shit at working out ages but I counted on my fingers to check. Mind you, Room With A View was 1985 which makes me feel rather old.

Hmm at unexpected guests. Had they forgotten to tell you Helen, or had MrHelen forgotten they were staying? Note how I’m not suggesting any blame could attach itself to you Grin

We are off to take DS2 for an appointment this morning, then I’m dress shopping with LittleSis. There will also be much washing.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 09/08/2019 08:03

Yay for dress shopping LetUs - at least that part of the day will be fun Grin

The guests weren't really anyone's fault, complete miscommunication about how long they were planning to stay and thus the beds they were in last night had already been booked for a sleepover tonight... tbh it wasn't actually a massive job, just meant that we had to pull out our fingers and make beds tidy up
