But until it arrives, the wenches will be snuggling up with the HBFs in the hibernacle. Smile

Night all

FancyFancy · 04/04/2019 00:06

Blimey, that would get me motivated letus Grin

LetUsPrey · 04/04/2019 07:47

Morning wenches.

I agree Fancy. I look forward to feeling extra motivated today Grin

It’s very frosty here. I think I’m going to have to scrape ice off the car FFS.

Can’t think of anything else. I think my brain is still in bed.

FancyFancy · 04/04/2019 08:14

Blimey letus, frost? Chilly here but not that bad.

I think I may need AT to aid motivation today - I have a course this afternoon & it promises to be both dull and a rattle through the topic at turbo speed. Fingers crossed for a good speaker at least cos an hbf speaker is too much to hope for

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 04/04/2019 11:20

FFS - what happened to my post? I sent emergency AT this morning as well... (then shot out the door for the school run)

ApricotCrush · 04/04/2019 17:14

Afternoon. Atrocious weather here, pissing it down all day. I got drenched doing the food shop.

DH is the same LetUs. 'I just need the loo.' 'I'm just getting a G & T.' Then he presses play and wanders around in front of it so I miss the beginning.

Easter bonnet? It gets worse.

Yay for the pay rise Fancy.

Congrats Fancy Wine

I booked flight and hotel today, apparently it's quite popular to travel to London for Christmas so I had to be fast to get the cheapest tickets. I'm travelling with three friends, you've met them Fancy, but I can always ditch them for dinner or fika with wenches Smile

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 04/04/2019 18:01

Oh, I'll be in London 29/11-2/12.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 04/04/2019 18:42

Easter Hat might be more accurate than 'bonnet', but I am now officially a Good Mother, because DS won a prize for his. Grin

Hurrah for London tickets Wicked.

I don't think it's rained here today - it did lob hail down last night, but sunny or cloudy today.

I have finally remembered to take the mower to be repaired - it seemed, on balance, to be an easier option than buying sheep which would require copious paperwork, fencing and general extra hassle. Grin

LetUsPrey · 04/04/2019 19:24

Evening wenches.

Rain, wind, cold. Not fun.

We should banish them to watch tv together Apricot, and then we could watch interesting things Grin. Let me know if you still need to dry off - I’ve got a towel handy Wink

Excellent news on your trip Wicked!

Well done Helen on the prize and Grin at not getting a sheep

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 04/04/2019 20:44

Where on earth did you get that towel from LetUs?

LetUsPrey · 04/04/2019 20:45

DS2 has discovered the darts on TV. And we’re playing Battleships at the same time. Does anywench have any Pimms? And many HBFs?

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 04/04/2019 20:51

Wine Gin

LetUsPrey · 04/04/2019 20:51

Bloody hell Helen, I completely lost my train of thought mid-guess there Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 04/04/2019 21:30

Duty, pleasure, all that.

B8, by the way. And G4

LetUsPrey · 04/04/2019 21:48

GrinGrin excellent guesses there Helen

I’m watching some Fleabag before DH gets home

LetUsPrey · 04/04/2019 22:35

I’m watching Treasures of the British Library - Andrew Scott’s episode. Just erm... happened upon it. Anyway, he’s said that the quietness of a library is quite sexy and he’s properly geeking out at the fact he’s looking at things in, for instance, Michelangelo’s actual handwriting, which is what I was doing when I was there with DS1 Grin. We’ve so much in common

FancyFancy · 04/04/2019 23:23

Evening

Course was pretty much as expected, but we did have the good speaker - yay Smile And decent biscuits. Sadly no hbfs - boo. In fact I felt like one of the younger ones there Shock

boo to not getting sheep helen - I think they'd look very fetching in your garden.

FancyFancy · 04/04/2019 23:26

Speaking of wildlife (kind of), have twice this week heard the on the radio - had me grinning like a loon in the car Grin

LetUsPrey · 05/04/2019 07:43

Morning wenches.

A good speaker goes a long way Fancy. I bet you looked like one of the younger ones there too.

Grin at the call of the eider duck. My new wildlife hero.

Dull and grey here. Isn’t it supposed to be spring?

Anyway, it’s Friday and I’m off all next week.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 05/04/2019 08:21

Eider ducks are fab Grin

Treasures of the British Library you say LetUs? Should we send them some Tav Lit for posterity? Grin

Fancy - I suppose I could get sheep if they arrived with a shepherd who looked something like this... I could cope with that.

Grin helen

On the Kermode & Mayo podcast there have plenty of clips of the Australian crow too - they reckon it sounds like a sarcastic baby Grin

Anyhow, should get to work - it's actually sunny here. Laters.....

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 05/04/2019 10:24

Also sunny here - washing is on the line.

On the basis that I leave an empty hive out to attract passing swarms of bees, I am now being distracted by wondering if I should set up a shepherd's hut in the garden to lure one in with his flock (though obvs. only HBF shepherds need apply).

Really, I need to get a grip and think about work. Financial regulations are tedious beyond belief though Sad

ApricotCrush · 05/04/2019 18:00

Afternoon.

Yay for London trip WW.

Grin at the eider ducks.

DS & Co have finally moved house today, 8 months after their offer was accepted. It's been an absolute nightmare. He's been living between two houses, neither of which were big enough for six of them when he has the DGC. It needs a lot of work, but at least they're now all under the same roof. Smile

Have a good evening all. Wine
