But until it arrives, the wenches will be snuggling up with the HBFs in the hibernacle. Smile

Morning. Windy again today, and lots of emails to get through before conference call, so best crack on. Our internet is rather slow this morning, which doesn't bode well. Sad

Is MrA off today? Hope he gets away with no stress or hassle.

ApricotCrush · 25/03/2019 17:54

Evening. Lovely day here, I've been sunbathing. Blush

Yes, he went off at some ridiculous time in the night. I had a message this morning: Arrived Malaga. That was it. Grin

Evening wenches. Hope all wenches have had good days. Grin at MrApricot’s full and detailed travel update.

There needs to be more football on the telly. It was a very useful carrot tonight to persuade DS2 to do his homework.

Is it nearly Saturday?

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 25/03/2019 20:12

Evening - fairly full-on day of work and parents evening and DS' club. Am flomped on the sofa now though, so hurrah.

I'm sure it must be Saturday soon LetUs after all, it's hardly Monday any more.

We've been watching a Stephen Hawking documentary. So far my brain hasn't shut down so I'm feeling quite proud of myself. (We've only watched 15 minutes so far.) They've had a bit about Descartes. I'd no idea that Descartes was HBF Grin - he appears to be a (much) handsomer version of Inego Montoya (And, of course, historical reenactments in documentaries are always faithful to the smallest details Hmm so i's obviously true.)

LetUsPrey · 25/03/2019 22:45

That documentary sounds interesting Helen. I’ll look to download that.

I’m going to watch tonight’s Fleabag, then I shall follow you up to the hayloft.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 26/03/2019 07:48

It was on Discovery Science, Stephen Hawkings Grand Designs or something - I think it's a series but this was about the separation of body and mind, or something.

Lovely and sunny here - I need to shut the chicken back in their ru now - have a good day all!

LetUsPrey · 26/03/2019 07:56

Morning wenches.

Thanks Helen. I’ll look for that.

Can you train MiniHelen through a series of whistles to herd the chickens?

Fleabag was as excellent as ever, and Andrew Scott was as bloody brilliant as ever and very flipping sexy.

Suppose I’d better do the breakfast and getting to work thing.

FancyFancy · 26/03/2019 08:28

Morning
Loving MrA's efficient communication style Grin

Another short week for me as I have parents arriving later in the week - hurrah. Have an awful lot of work to get through in the days I am there - boo!

ApricotCrush · 26/03/2019 18:17

Evening. Not such a good day here weather wise.

I've been ploughing through the IRA book; actually it's quite interesting and he does write well.

We had a pair of ducks in the front garden this afternoon. DGS wanted to open the front door to see if they'd come in. Shock We used to get them regularly when we had a pond, but we filled it in when the DGCs arrived.

Better go and microwave cook myself something to eat. Wine

Evening wenches. I'm still alive. Trying to adjust to apartment living. I got earplugs now so I'm sleeping better. Tomorrow my couch and bed arrives Smile

LetUsPrey · 26/03/2019 19:14

Evening wenches.

I’m sure your work will go as smoothly as mine so far this week Fancy.

Awwwww at the ducks Apricot! There was a pond here too when we moved in but we got rid of it straight away because of DC. We’re practically twins —I wish—

Anywench want to do DS2’s history homework with him? No?

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 26/03/2019 19:36

Evening.
LOL at the very idea of DS stepping away from the xbox to help herd chickens.

Work was tedious but busy, also including conversations like:
Them: You MUST do this before year end!!!
Me: Ok, send me that document by 5pm.
Them:
Me:

le sigh.

Still watching Stephen Hawkings - he's gone all shroedinger on us. Do things exist if you can't see them? What is Reality?

I shall think about ducks in gardens, they are less complicated. Unless they vanish while I'm not looking at them Confused

Glad you're settling in wicked

I think I need an early night. What is the history homework - can you sit him in front of Horrible Histories LetUs - would that count?

LetUsPrey · 26/03/2019 22:05

I did that last week Helen Grin with Horrible Histories

Similar at work yesterday for me. Email through at a few minutes to five asking for something to be printed out —which I would have needed to correct first— and then put in the post because hopefully they’d not missed the post. Only by about half an hour (which has been the case for fecking years).

Pleased the settling in continues Wicked. Squeeeee at new couch and bed! Do you have anything in mind to put in the bed? Or indeed on the couch? Wink

We’re watching SEAL Team and then it’s hayloft.

LetUsPrey · 27/03/2019 07:41

Morning wenches.

Dull and blah here.

That’s about it. I have the blahs still.

How’s the jumper coming along Apricot, or have you not had chance to carry on with it?

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 27/03/2019 07:44

Morning!!!

FancyFancy · 27/03/2019 08:31

Morning
Got home from work yesterday & seemed to spend all evening doing maths homework - was knackered - will try to be more conversatioanl tonight!

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 27/03/2019 11:24

Do you mean like a cushion or something Letus Halo

Hope the delivery shows up soon, I've been wearing a bra all day Hmm

ApricotCrush · 27/03/2019 16:47

Afternoon.

Hope it has arrived now WW, so that you can take your bra off. I know what you mean, I'm much more comfortable without one. Grin

The jumper has been a bit of a disaster today LetUs. I have a vision of how they're going to be and make them up as I go along. Sometimes I change my mind. I had to undo 70 rows on a sleeve which was a bit annoying. Shock

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 27/03/2019 19:42

Evening wenches

Yes, exactly like a cushion Wicked. Or perhaps a nice throw Grin. Perhaps you are, as I type, braless on your new couch or bed with a “cushion”.

Urgh at maths homework Fancy. We’re on with geography tonight.

Stuff I’ve knitted usually looks like I’ve made it up Apricot, even though I’ve followed a pattern. Fucksake at having to undo 70 rows!

I am currently obsessed (how unlike me) with Fleabag on BBC. Andrew Scott is amazing and very very sexy.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 27/03/2019 21:02

So, wicked has been thrown onto her chaise couch by a cushion? Confused Grin

I can't knit to save my life, so I take my hat off to anyone who can. (I mean, I can do a scarf, but even then I lose and gain stitches randomly so it has wibbly edges and random holes.) Maybe you could have made a new fashion for jumpers with mismatched sleeves Apricot?

No homework here thank goodness, but a very bloody annoying child who thinks the world revolves around him. Tonight, we are mostly butting heads, though we settled down to watch more Comic Relief together - and who should pop up in it but Thalissa from TM as the 'best woman' in the Four Weddings piece. Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 27/03/2019 21:08

Also, there is a bloody weird advert with Hidders in it best approached via Red Scharlach's comments
twitter.com/redfacts/status/1110963952857636864

LetUsPrey · 27/03/2019 21:15

Am Grin at those comments. I’d accept the plate of raw vegetables and the fried egg with a smile, and then fry up some bacon as soon as he’d gone.

thanks Helen

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 27/03/2019 21:54

Would you even bother with the food? Wouldn't you just ditch it and progress to this:

LetUsPrey · 27/03/2019 21:57

Yes, actually yes. Absolutely yes.
