Grin at eye rolling at your subconscious Helen

Excellent point there Wicked

I have dropped DS2 at swimming, come home, showered, done a wash, done most of the ironing, taken DS1 to sportingactivity (HBI in attendance), brought the DC home, had lunch and am now trying to work up the enthusiasm to finish off the ironing. I made the error though of sitting down though.

Noisy again at sportingactivity but I did hear
Go high and go low
Start off slow and then as you get faster, you can get more power behind it

LetUsPrey · 16/12/2018 15:42

Ironing done

Am now visiting parents

Then off out with BestFriend for food and cinema

ApricotCrush · 16/12/2018 17:37

Evening.

That Kit Harington video is hilarious. I've no idea who Toothless is but he's so cute. Xmas Smile

Crikey, I'm exhausted just reading what you've done today LetUs. Have a good evening.

Strictly was a bit fraught, what with DGS running in front of the TV, whizzing round on the swivel chair and shrieking when DH tickled him. I ended up with a headache and had to rewatch some of the dances on YouTube this morning. Faye was the best on the night, I wanted Joe to win but was happy for Stacey, although I couldn't stand to listen to her. Pleased for Kevin.

Is there anything on tonight, I've lost touch? We've finished Mrs. Wilson and Death and Nightingales.

LetUsPrey · 16/12/2018 17:49

Not sure what’s on tonight Apricot. We’ve got football on at the moment —it’s not going well and DH and DS1 are arguing—

Elf’s on later (one of DH’s favourite films). Sports Personality of the Year is on BBC1. Can’t say I’m gutted to miss it.

More or less agree with your Strictly summary.

ApricotCrush · 16/12/2018 18:15

Oh thanks. Can't be bothered with Sports Personality. We've got two more episodes left of Knightfall, so I might suggest that.

OP posts:
SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 16/12/2018 20:59

We seem to be watching snooker, or ski-ing. Nothing interesting anyway. We were also out all afternoon, so missed the football - hurrah!

at HBI as ever Grin

Toothless is from How to Tame Your Dragon apricot - it's a series of children's books that got CGI'd for films.

Did you manage to finish that wine before it went off Fancy?

LetUsPrey · 16/12/2018 23:04

Given the choice of SPOTY or Knightfall, I know which I’d have gone for

How’s your back Helen?

I really enjoyed Bohemian Rhapsody. Excellent film, excellently acted, with fabulous music of course. Food was delicious too.

Just going to have a quick shufti round YouTube, then hayloft

FancyFancy · 17/12/2018 00:16

Not quite helen - stomach feeling a bit dodgy this evening, so am sticking to peppermint tea. I did make an impact on the ironing mountain though and put the tree and decorations up. This is early for me!

LetUsPrey · 17/12/2018 07:45

Morning wenches.

Peppermint tea sounds wise in that case Fancy. I like peppermint cordial but I’ve been in three different supermarkets over the course of the last week or so and they’ve all sold out!

I have very nearly finished the Christmas shopping. Just need the wine for gifts and one thing for DS2 off MIL. DH is supposed to be sorting these. He’d better hurry up then hadn’t he?

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 17/12/2018 08:03

Sad Fancy - hope you're feeling better today. It'll be all those stomach-flipping moment's caused by the HBFs - that'll be the problem. Still at least the tree is up now, so you won't have that problem where the HBF reaches up to the top of the tree, and their shirt gets un-tucked from the stretch, and then you run your fingers underneath their shirt (because why wouldn't you?) and one thing leads to another... Wink

Am out this morning with DH. It will either be lovely or a monumentally disastrous morning of bickering and sulking. We have to go in half an hour and he's not even up yet. I am already primed for a morning of bickering and CBF/BRF.
FFS, etc. HBFs would never lie about in bed letting us do all the morning chores.

LetUsPrey · 17/12/2018 08:08

You’re very right Helen. We’d still be in bed with the HBFs.

Oh gosh, I can’t to seem to reach the top of the tree. Oh dear, whatever shall I do?

FancyFancy · 17/12/2018 10:04

Now that is the sort of problem I would welcome helen. Feeling a bit better this morning thanks - just waiting to see if breakfast makes me feel better still or decides to rush through like an express train Hmm

I hope you & MrHelen are out & about now - serenely doing whatever it was you had planned Grin

ApricotCrush · 17/12/2018 16:41

Afternoon. Ah I see re Toothless. Xmas Smile Hope you've had a good day Helen.

Hope breakfast behaved itself Fancy.

We didn't watch Knightfall as I couldn't be arsed to sort the DVD out. We watched a Midsomer Murder instead. Xmas Hmm

I seem to have a throat and my voice is very croaky husky and sexy. Xmas Grin I knew this would happen just before Christmas. Argh!

OP posts:
SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 17/12/2018 16:49

at the air horn.

Stop Press - SisterHelen and MrHelen had a very nice morning lolling about in hot tubs and steam rooms. There was no sulking or bickering Shock there was much relaxing. Then we got back and I made him do the school run while I worked Grin

Also, random dreams and things you don't expect to find yourself saying in a dream: Well where did you leave you leg?! sadly this did not involve any HBFs , but me and 'my' child (who I don't think was DS) in the dream who had just had a leg severed in an accident, gone to hospital to get it fixed, and come out without the leg being reattached. In my dream, my reaction is not horror, shock, or terror. It's just massive exasperation and irritation that the child has mislaid the missing leg. This tells me more about my parenting style that I care to admit to. Blush

Back to work...

ApricotCrush · 17/12/2018 18:42

That sounds like a lovely day Helen, but Shock Shock at your dream. I think your subconscious is trying to channel Strike, but getting it horribly wrong.

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 17/12/2018 20:45

Evening wenches.

Doctor Aramis will be along soon to tend to your every need

I’m sure you sound very sexy Apricot but sick bay for you too. Doctor Athos will be along to take your temperature with his special thermometer

Pleased you had a good time Helen. Eeek at that dream and also Angry at your subconscious taking part of an HBF characteristic and going off at the completely wrong tangent. Small Grin though at you being exasperated at MiniHelen leaving his leg behind.

Christmas tree and decorations still not up

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 17/12/2018 21:47

Evening. Am watching University Challenge and feeling bemused as ever. (Yay! got one two...)

Decorated trees are so last year LetUs - I wouldn't worry.

Should we send other Doctors to the sick bay? Who was that Doctor in Poldark? Didn't Apricot like him? They both seem to have a glass of something medicinal - I they should go through to the sick by and provide suitable treatments and remedies...

Swagger Inn 159 - It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas......
LetUsPrey · 17/12/2018 21:54

I did okay on Only Connect, not so much on UC so Star for you Helen

Sick bay gentlemen? Why yes, it’s this way. No, I know it looks like a large cupboard and there’s no patients in it, but.... Well, we’re here now so we may as well make the best of it

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 17/12/2018 22:02

LetUs! They're for Fancy and Apricot! Put them down!!!

LetUsPrey · 17/12/2018 22:27

What was that Helen? CptRoss and The Very Good Doctor? Nope, not seen them.
shhhhhhhh, keep your voices down
I think they went thataway Helen

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 18/12/2018 07:51
Grin MOrning. Have a good day all
LetUsPrey · 18/12/2018 07:59

Morning wenches

Hold on Helen, Athos is coming after you . Jolly considerate of him

Minor disaster this morning - I’ve run out of sugar and so can’t have my first thing in the morning brew Shock. Luckily Brandon is on hand to give me what I want

Morning
Oh yes, all the faf doctors are needed in the sick bay. Well not strictly true, stomach seems to be behaving itself & I'm off to work, but you can't be too careful.

Proper Grin at your dream helen

ApricotCrush · 18/12/2018 15:17

Afternoon wenches. Horrible day here, cold windy, raining.

Brew with sugar for Letus.

Glad you're feeling better Fancy.

Oooo yes, Dr. Enys, I'd forgotten him. He can treat me any time. Xmas Grin Had a terrible night with the throat, coughing etc. I took two paracetamol before I went to bed and I think my throat was swollen and they got stuck. Shock I drank a gallon of warm water to dissolve them and they went eventually but I was up all night going to the loo.

LetUsPrey · 18/12/2018 19:14

Evening wenches.

have had my hair cut and it’s such a relief to get it done —because I’d left it to the last minute as usual to try to get an appointment and it was really annoying me—

Pleased you’re feeling —HBFs— better Fancy

Been bloody awful weather here too. Are you feeling any better as the day’s gone on Apricot? I prescribe a lie down with thorough ministrations by HBFs.

I have sugar. Phew.
