I’m in my fleecy pjs, I have a drink, and I’ve been doing some of my jigsaw. As NYEs go, this is quite a good one

I'm still on the sofa with cats jumping on and off as the mood takes them. DS is determined to stay up until midnight. I think I will be heading for the hayloft soon. Currently watching a Queen concert though.

I was not absent due to raging partying last night - was drinking pink fizz & watching a film with DD. Also cuddling the cats who were spooked by all the fireworks.

I have creosoted a shed!!!! Now I'm going out to visit family!!! (If I add enough exclamation marks it might sound more exciting? No? Never mind then.)

Afternoon. Happy New Year everywench!!! We managed to stay up for Big Ben and the fireworks, then in the night I had an upset stomach. Think it was too many chocolates.

We've run out of food so I had to go to Sainsbos earlier. Other than that I've done nothing.

Well done with the creosoting Helen, I'm very impressed.

LetUs, with blocked sinks I pour a kettle of boiling water down, then a load of Domestos. Leave for about an hour and keep repeating. That usually clears it.

Have been out to friends’ house. Lots of extremely delicious food and a —bottle— couple of glasses of wine and lots of chatting and laughing.

DH has done the shop bought chemically stuff. It’s the bathroom sink so nothing’s gone down there that shouldn’t (not that anything goes in the kitchen drain that shouldn’t either). I’d best stop before we all get over-excited
