Cant believe it!!! Other people who have the courage to admit that they loved this programme!!!! I was a huuuge fan - watched it when I did my ironing (there was no acting involved, just dialogue so rarely needed to look at the screen). Have really missed Derek and his twin and the turkey baster. When and where is it on? Havent felt this excited since........ since ever.

OMG thats typical, 10 months maternity leave and they restart it the second week I'm back at work!

I actually joined in really late, so it'll mostly be new for me but i do remember the major story lines like the island and also the boat. recorded the last ever one and a viewer's choice years ago and unearthed it recently. watched them today and i'm not joking here, it brought tears to my eyes as i haven't been this excited or happy in such a long time!!!!

the viewer's choice was the one where everyone grows old and they need to find the madonna and jewels to exorcise the devil!! LOL too funny...

Gave it away because there was such total dross on TV wasnt worth paying the licence. BUT NOW THIS COMES BACK ON AND MY LIFE IS NOW NOT WORTH LIVING WITH THE TV AGAIN!!!!!

Fantastic news!!! It was my life back when I had only one child - now i have four!! so i will be watching for the glamour, the humour, the class acting, the longest hanging cliffhangers of any programme ever. Why ever did it get cancelled when it was the best thing on tv. Great to know I am not alone! Happy watching!

What was the name of the red-haired girl? She had a really big mouth, but was still pretty, and was very naughty and devious. Been bugging me all night as she was my favourite character.

No, she was the really sweet one, that spent the whole series at cross purposes to Ben, and they both REALLY loved each other [vomit emoticon]

Still excited, just phoned a friend, who I met on maty leave, and she was addicted 2. She's also going to tape it

Sunset Beach was just great, hubby and I used to go to bed on a Saturday afternoon (pre-children), with a bottle of wine and watch it and laugh at it. Its brilliant....we taped the final episode and still have it. Why ever did it get the chop, theres so much crap in the states that surely this was actually one of the better ones. Look forward to some chats about it in September.

It wasn't half a load of pants! I didn't watch regularly but when I did I found it strangely compulsive!

Wasn't there something about a mother and a daughter and one of them had a baby (perhaps the mother as a surrogate for her daughter) and given it to the daughter, then the mother turned a bit psycho and there was some sort of mystery behind it all that I didn't quite get because I didn't watch enough?

Cannot contain my excitement, the old storylines are coming back to me.......getting pregnant with the turkey baster, brilliant, Corrie couldnt get away it! We used to love the way Ricardo's Mum said his name, Ben used to take 4 hours to answer the front door, oh and didnt someone get the face badly scarred by some potion. Brilliant. It was a cult show, had a huge following in Britain. Austrailia keeps on making Home and Away and stuff for us. Im going to get on to George Bush right away and get him to campaign for Sunset Beach to start up again. I feel this would gain him extra votes for the forthcoming election. It might even be the election winner he needs ....lets face it he needs something to sidetrack the voters.
