Sunset beach is back!!!!!!!!

Goody, goody! I'm not the only person in the world on this one! DH thought it rather strange i was addicted to it, told it it's on again he can't believe I plan on watching it again! I use dto tape it lat time , I was hardly at home in the morning at always missed the omnibus (well, used to have a life in those days I suppose ). So, so, so we can all have a chat thread on this!

I LOVED it. Loved, loved, loved it and videod it every day to watch when I got home in the evenings (pre-kids of course!). Dp found it absurd. I think I can name almost all the characters:

Ben, Meg, Maria, Sarah, Annie, Gordon, Olivia, Bet, Shaun, Vanessa, Michael, Casey, Tim, Gabby, Ricardo, Antonio, Madam Carmen, Cole, Caitlin, hmmm ... I know there's more and I might have got some of them wrong. Does anyone remember the name of the mad 'nanny' that Maria had who turned out to be Ben's evil twin's girlfriend?

I do WISH it was a new series though ...

oh twick, you sound just as obsessed as me! her name was Tess - wasn't she dastardly?!! she really annoyed me the way she snooped around and pretended to be supernanny...evil woman!

i particularly liked madame carmen when she'd call her children 'miiiichaaa' and 'miiiicho'...

hee hee minkmama!! I loved the scary mask scene when evil twin derek was in the island scene. Was so terrified (not!). Dont think television will ever be as fabulous or as terrible again. Dont they say that genius is closely linked with madness? Would love to meet the writers of this show.

Hooray!!!! ITV2 had it for a bit but never showed it. I am soo pleased..

Its very weird when the cast turn up in other things though...

Ive never seen any of the cast since Sunset Beach finished. Thought perhaps they were so wooden they had been packed up with the dodgy scenery!

Annie and Maria have been in episodes of CSI. Maria I think was in CSI Miami wearing a blonde wig. I think a lot of them went off to other US soaps...Not that I was surfing US SB sites or anything! I am sure I have seen Ben in something too, though I cant remember what.

Thankfully DH is keen on SB too and used to entertain me with cast impersonations.....

Wasnt Tess in league with Tim the world's dimmest villain? And what was the husband/father called (Olivia and Annies Husband)? who came back in disguise at some point I seem to recall

I got into this show quite near the end - I remember a gun being hidden inside a thanksgiving turkey and also a woman shagging her husbands brother who was a priest as featuring among the top storylines.Also the preists mother was a loony who used to chant 'Garbee, Garbee' ( gabby) and spent episode plannign revenge.Top stuff !

Although I will admit, I do love a life guard, esp one that does not wear too much Even if he is a terrible actor, ccooorrrr, must be these pregnancy hormones making me like this!
