HEINZ baked beans

bran · 27/08/2004 13:46

shreddies

SenoraPostrophe · 27/08/2004 14:01

but some supermarket own stuff is better than the brands. Not up with UK supermarkets now, but I used to really like sainsbo's washing liquid, and, erm, some other stuff I can't remember. Plus Tescos/thingy and Asda/George baby clothes are great. Do they count as own brands?

SenoraPostrophe · 27/08/2004 14:02

oh yes, sainsbury's italian brown rice. fantastic, and I don't normally like brown rice.

notthecod · 27/08/2004 14:02

Fruit and Fibre cant be matched I dont think but Tesco premium nappies was as good if not better than Pampers/Huggies for my DS.

lou33 · 27/08/2004 15:26

Heinz baked beans and ketchup, weetabix, full on original coca cola.

StickyNote · 27/08/2004 15:30

Marmite

hatter · 27/08/2004 15:54

is there such a thing as own-brand marmite?

nutcracker · 27/08/2004 15:56

Kellogs Cornflakes

fisil · 27/08/2004 16:03

agree on mayo and baked beans (especially baked beans)

pilot pens.

Refuse to have anything other than very cheap own brand muesli - because I like the added sugar and milk powder (I do have it with water, so I guess I need the flavour). Anything healthier and it's like squirrel food!

StickyNote · 27/08/2004 16:04

It's called Yeast Extract.

clary · 27/08/2004 16:32

Coddy you're right about hellmans but yes, pretty sad to have a view on wipes! Bird's eye fish fingers are the only ones I buy. Heinz baked beans after exteinsive research are worth the money.

JanH · 27/08/2004 16:40

Hair conditioner, I think - I had been using cheap own-brands for ages until last time when I remembered a bottle of Andrew Collinge (?) I had hidden from the maurauding hordes, and it made such a difference.

JanH · 27/08/2004 16:40

or are we only talking about food?

WideWebWitch · 27/08/2004 18:51

Branston pickle
Maldon salt
HP sauce
Not that I've ever tried own brands of any of them so I obviously don't know what I'm talking about!

hmb · 27/08/2004 18:53

Boots Ibuprofen tablets are the same as Neurofen and are made in the same factory! Boots and Crookes are the same company.

notthecod · 27/08/2004 18:53

I dont mind the m and s coke
