Evening. Sooooo hot. I tried to sit in the shade in the garden, but next-door-neighbour was cutting slabs. The noise was awful, drove me inside. I mean, who cuts slabs on a Sunday afternoon in this heat??? Neighbour, obviously.

Morning all! It was a very civilised 18 degrees this morning The patio in the sun got up to 45 yesterday but only 32 in the shade It is far too hot and apparently no end in sight. I shall carry on lugging watering cans about for the blueberry bushes for the rest of the year at this rate... (and getting bitten by fecking mozzies in the process one bite on my hand and my whole arm started itching. Sodding things. Thank goodness for Anthisan-other-brands-are-available.)

Maybe Badders has gone off to colder climates to look for Snow?

Afternoon wenches. Cloudy here, but no respite from the heat. The burglar alarm went off again in the night. DH struggled downstairs on his crutches and I followed wielding the dagger. Any intruder would have collapsed in hysterics.

Took DH to have the clips out of his knee earlier. Nurse says it's doing well.

Collected DGS from school after. Poor kid looks as knackered as me.

I have had a day of forgetting - forgetting that I had to take DH to work; forgetting the DS had two post-school clubs that I needed to take him to, so forgetting to remind him to bring the relevant kit back from school... I blame the heat - it's cooked my brain. Though we have had clouds all day until this evening, and it hasn't been hot at all hurrah!

Currently watching Jamie Murray in doubles. I think they're on a tie-break to try and win the match, but I've only just turned on and my brain, as previously noted, has melted, so I might be wrong...

Been for a lovely walk with BestFriend and her dog. Much cooler and pleasant. Tired now.
