Evening. I can't believe that summer is due to arrive tomorrow. It's been really cold and miserable today.

Helen, I never know what day it is, they're all pretty much the same here.

We went to buy a new fridge this afternoon. It's a shame because I like the old one and it's still working, but it's making a hideous noise which drives us mad and DH says it's unfixable. It is about 10 years old though so it's done well.

I remember having to choose a new fridge when I had my own place years ago. Got in from work on a Friday in August so pretty hot. Got ready to go out to a work’s party (previous job). Went to fridge. Fridge broken. Ah well I’ll have to go and buy a new one in the morning (pre-internet shopping). Proceeded to go out and get really quite drunk. Woke up to find I’d somehow badly pulled a calf muscle. Got the bus into town, limped to shop, chose fridge, went home. I had that fridge for ages.

I shall be going to bed with a hot water bottle soon fear not 😁

The new bedding is 400 thread count egyptian cotton...cant wait...

If I get back early enough on Thurs I intend to have a nap!

Dh is insisting I accompany him to the opticians on Friday...because a grown man can't choose their own glasses 🤔😩

Apricot - really? It's been lovely here today - I had to take my coat off for driving because it got too hot Apparently it will get colder again after this week. Relatively anyway, which considering the temperatures they're forecasting (apart from for Apricot who has her own chilly microclimate) are well over the usual temperatures for this time of year.

We’re supposed to be up to 20 or 21 tomorrow. Been dull and rainy today. Madness.

I think Athos has been on the stepper too Helen. He looks a bit sweaty. You should reward him for his efforts.

As I started typing this, I was watching Hamlet. Enjoying it. I know it has a modern setting but I don’t think it’s set on a Premiership football pitch
