Sounds a productive day Wicked. Definitely put your feet up.

at MiniHelen. Behave yourself.

You need the HBF oven cleaning team Fancy.

Feet done. One area on the side of my foot appears not to have been keen on the chemicals used in the peel and is rather red and sore. Have put aloe vera gel on it. Gives me an excuse to sit with my feet up though. Am watching Hawaii Five-0.

How’s your hand Badderz?

mrsreynolds · 13/01/2018 15:22

Not sure letus
Quite a big blister now and nhs webpage a bit vague
I shall keep it dry and hope for the best

LetUsPrey · 13/01/2018 15:33

Trying to think back to when I did similar to my hand. Nope, can’t remember. Was about 25 years ago though. This is why I don’t cook Grin. Too dangerous. What you’ve said sounds right though.

LetUsPrey · 13/01/2018 16:48

DH is tidying. You know how this goes now.

“I think these can get thrown away can’t they?” says he standing right next to things in question and pointing to them on the kitchen worktop. I agree, as I carry on tidying other stuff and sorting through school paperwork. He walks away from them because I’d previously put them there. Couldn’t just scoop them up and put them in the bin. He’s now annnouncing all the other stuff he’s done, is doing, and is going to do. Aaarrrrggghhhhhh.

The only time I need telling what has been done, what is being done and what is going to be done is when it’s an HBF telling me about me.

FancyFancy · 13/01/2018 17:25

letus, that that would be worth hearing

It's a deal helen. Years ago I read something about dealing with toddlers (I paraphrase) 'Ignoring bad behaviour and appearing to ignore bad behaviour have the same effect on the tantrumming toddler, they don't know that you're screaming inside you can't really tune it out' and what do you know? It's proving useful again for sulky teens Grin. So yep, I welcome a chance to exercise my ignoring skills - I need to hone them for dealing with DD. Although now of course she's a bit older I could probably try that other toddler-wrangling technique of distraction - only now that can involve pictures of faf, rather than pretending to see something exciting outside.....

ApricotCrush · 13/01/2018 17:36

Evening all.

Ouch Bads, hope your hand is better soon.

That sounds like a good morning WW. Enjoy putting your feet up.

DH is bored and has been going through the filing cabinet. This worries me because his way of filing things is not the same as mine the proper way and I can't find anything afterwards. Confused

We shall watch the second ep of Hard Sun later. I know it's on the iPlayer, but I like to watch stuff weekly rather than binge watch.

mrsreynolds · 13/01/2018 17:40

I found ep 2 a hard watch apes...I'm up to ep 4
Dh is having to do stuff as I'm one handed and can't get dressing wet....that's going well 😬

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 13/01/2018 18:32

I have been Laser Questing Grin Grin Grin It was huge amounts of fun, I haven't done that for 15-ish years. I don't think I was terrible good at it, but was fun Grin DS has cheered up somewhat but is still more prone to winge about what he didn't get/what didn't go right than concentrate on how much fun he had. I think you're right - ignoring is the best bet. "Look!!! Tractor!!!" certainly does't do the job anymore Sad Life was so much simpler in those days.

The only time I need telling what has been done, what is being done and what is going to be done is when it’s an HBF telling me about me. Yes - very much so. DH has been tidying this afternoon while we were out. Hmm he has been tidying, but it's hard to tell the difference... (bless) very demoralising for him.

Watching TFA again, for research .....

LetUsPrey · 13/01/2018 19:21

I think we’ll do the same with Hard Sun Apricot.

Are there other things you need assistance with Badderz that you can’t manage one handed? I’m sure there’s an HBF or two that could assist. Grin

I’ve not done Laserquest for ages either Helen —and I wasn’t very good at it—

Ignoring sounds so simple. I’m great at it up to a point but then not so much.

LetUsPrey · 13/01/2018 19:22

Oh research is very very important Wicked

mrsreynolds · 13/01/2018 19:56

Many things
Getting undressed for example

LetUsPrey · 13/01/2018 20:28
SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 13/01/2018 21:09

On the positive side of things, MrBadders and Midi/mini-badders may be a bit more appreciative of all the things you normally do for them now Grin

I'm pooped...

mrsreynolds · 13/01/2018 21:16

Dh is looking a bit frazzled....
😁

LetUsPrey · 13/01/2018 21:30

I would in no way at all whatsoever suggest keeping your hand bandaged for any longer than is necessary Badderz. That would be sneaky. Although I hear a proper recovery can take a while and it’s always best to err on the side of caution in such matters.

mrsreynolds · 13/01/2018 21:56

Ds2 is being a real pain today
I k ow he's tired but ffs

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 13/01/2018 21:58

You probably need to go to bed Badders, and leave DH to sort it out. Rest is very important to your speedy recovery.

OP posts:
mrsreynolds · 13/01/2018 22:00

He's in bed with me Helen
But I've upset him apparently so he's as far away from me as poss. He will fall out of bed at this rate

LetUsPrey · 13/01/2018 22:04

And that’ll be your fault too Badderz

Grin Helen

We’re watching Hard Sun. I’ve got my cushion handy. It’s been used a couple of times already

mrsreynolds · 13/01/2018 22:24

Yep...
Current situation in Yemen prob my fault too the mood he's in today...
We got stuck in horrendous traffic on the way to pick his new glasses up--because he broke his old ones because HE WILL NOT take them on and off properly so the arm snapped
😡--
Then we got home and dh didn't get his lunch quick enough
Then I put up his new nerf gun rack wrong
Christ....its like he's 9 going on 16

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 13/01/2018 22:34

at DS2 falling out of bed because he's in a snit with you Badders - as LetUs says - that will of course be your fault.

Oh God - MoTD is on - I'm heading for the Hayloft. Athos, fortunately, has no interest in football at all. He plays much more entertaining games

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 13/01/2018 22:57

I bet he’d still be interested in you showing him excellent ball control Helen Grin

Sounds like DS2 Badderz. He’s been teenage-esque since about the age of two. And we’re down a pair of glasses here too. They’ve vanished at school. He’s another pair but I’m not happy for him to take them to school in case they disappear too. It took about four or five months for a fully named entire outdoor PE kit to turn up after they’d searched “everywhere” for it, so I’m not hopeful a pair of glasses will be found.

Hard Sun was good. Difficult as you say, but good.

FancyFancy · 13/01/2018 23:27

Evening

We have all been productive today Smile

Also have experienced glasses issues this week with the DC, you all have my sympathies. Except you badders, as it's all your fault obv Wink Has he fallen out of bed yet?

LetUsPrey · 13/01/2018 23:55

These tv shows do a great job of showing places off. I am thinking I would like to go to Hawaii for a long time.
