Just trying to get the Sky box working again. DH has broken it so I’ve had to do a sort of reset.

We’ve watched NCIS. I’m off to the hayloft now. Large helping of Paella tonight I think. Very filling.

Have to clean the bathroom today. I may not be able to cope with the excitement.

SisterHelen has a little sod of a DS chanelling your DS1 LetUs lots of winging about going swimming - never mind that he chose the time and everything. FFS

We have dark skies and sleet.

I enjoy watching the skiing. Never tried it myself (physical activity outside in the cold - probably not) but it’s strangely hypnotic for want of a better word when you watch the competitive stuff.

Did I say sleet? Make that snow. Big fat flakes which are sticking. However, we’re forecast rain for the rest of the day so it’ll not last long. Also it’s supposed to be 12° on Tuesday. How’s that work then?

Back to cleaning the bathroom. Glamour.

Snow here too FFS, but now turned to rain/sleet so hopefully that'll clear it. We still have a little bit of the pre-Christmas snow next to a nearby road where it had been cleared & piled up about 10 ft high

The bathroom is now spotless —ish—. I’ve watched Big Cats from Thursday. Spent a lot of the programme making ooooo and awwww and squeeee noises.

Ironing to do later after my parents have been. I am going to make DS1 do his own ironing. Made him do his own washing yesterday and he can bloody well get used to it.

Afternoon. Miserable day here, much snow this morning and rain now.

The Big Cats were fab weren't they, those four kittens. Awwwww.

Watched Hard Sun last night, still can't stand the lead actor. McMafia tonight.

Our sunshine has turned into dank misty dreichness, so DH hung out the washing while I was out Well, it was sort of helpful... I have now brought it back in and hing it indoors to dry.

Badders - you're an invalid, remember? If it needs ironing (and it doesn't, nothing does, ever, unless it's linen or you're off to wedding/funeral/job interview) then DH can doooo iiiittt

LetUs - can you come and do our bathroom to? I can't be arsed and besides, stupid cat is sitting on me so I can't move.

You’re on your own with the bathroom Helen. Unless MrHelen would like to crack on with it. For a very small room it took a fucking age to clean. My knees are sore now and the situation that caused that just completely wasn’t worth it.

I’ll see how I feel for McMafia tonight. I feel knackered already and I still have to do homework wrangling with DS2.

I am not letting dh near my iron!! 😮

I refuse to believe that you do the minimum Badders - I don't know anyone who does as much washing and ironing as you do! Admittedly I'm at the far end of the spectrum to you (can't imagine ironing anythign for DS school) but still... ease up and give yourself a rest.

Did your parents not even go into the bathroom then LetUs? How very inconsiderate of them! Still, since the floor is nice and clean now, you can roll about on it with the HBF of your choice and not pick up and dust bunnies #SilverLining

Have just taken my parents home. I now have a large Pimms. The two things are not unconnected. I love my mum and dad but they can drive me a bit bonkers re Traditional Roles. Mother in particular is aghast that I am expecting DS1 to do washing and is horrified that he is to do ironing. Apparently there are Man Jobs and there are Woman Jobs. You cannot possibly expect a male to do washing and ironing. This is Not Acceptable. Equally, DIY is a Man Job so a woman cannot do this. I think it’s forbidden or something.

Mother did indeed go to the bathroom so at least there was no tutting and sighing and shaking of the head at an unclean bathroom. I shall still take the HBF in the bathroom, although it will have to be standing up as floor area is not big enough to lie on. I’ll be needing an HBF with particularly strong legs...

Nice muscular thighs required then...

Aiden is un dressed and ready; Dustin is stretching off in preparation and Aramis needs towelling down anyway, so will be with you shortly.
