Well, our heating packed up last night. After spending the evening wondering why we were so cold, we realised the radiators weren't on. DH phoned British Gas at 11 o'clock (24-hour service) and the engineer was here just after 8.00 this morning. Brilliant. My flabber has never been so gasted.

Happy Birthday to MiniLetUs, hope he's enjoying himself. Very impressed by your DH's bed building skills. DH has reduced the height on two king-sized beds with drawers underneath. They were ridiculously high, you had to take a running jump at them.

Very shocked at the new series of Peaky Blinders. They seem to have killed off half the stars in the first episode. Not Cillian Murphy though. Phew.
