Brew for Fancy

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 10/11/2017 10:36

Foo Fighters Grin We have tickets for next year!!!!!!!!!!!! Hurrah!!!

I have been to FridayMorningExerciseClass, and I am trashed. Apparently my right shoulder doesn't exist. Now, I know that seem unlikely, because we can all see it, and my arm is still attached to the rest of my body... but see me trying to do a right-side one-arm plank? Nope. Not happening I can't even blame the press-ups we'd just finished, because a left-arm plank was still fine (relatively speaking)

Oh well, I need to get cleaned up, do a bit of work, check the car tyres, and hit the road...

Hope everyone has a good day.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 10/11/2017 12:44

Guns N' 'Roses are coming to Gothenburg this summer, hopefully I can get tickets. And it's the REAL Guns N' Roses and not just Axl with a bunch of nobodies.

mrsreynolds · 10/11/2017 15:22

Brrrrrrrr ❄

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 10/11/2017 17:14

Having Wine Life is good Grin

ApricotCrush · 10/11/2017 17:17

Hello wenches, it's been a nice day here, but windy.

Went to the garden centre with DD this afternoon, but didn't buy anything. Sad

I googled severs disease Bads, never heard of it before. Poor little chap, hope it's not too bad.

Love Foo Fighters and Guns N Roses.

Hope all wenches have a good evening. Smile

mrsreynolds · 10/11/2017 17:26

I hadnt either apes! Very sore by all accounts :(

I'm soooo cold.

Dh is off to far east tomorrow.

ApricotCrush · 10/11/2017 17:38

Have some Wine and Cake and Strike's coat with him in it Bads.

Oh I forgot, TB is going back to the theatre next year.

From the MailOnline:

Watch out for ...

Tom Burke, who will play Rodrigo, Marquis of Posa, in director Gadi Roll’s touring production of Don Carlos, which starts performances at the Northcott Theatre in Exeter next October, before moving to the Nuffield in Southampton and then the Rose in Kingston.

Burke and Roll have formed a theatre company called Ara to perform classical and contemporary work. Friedrich Schiller’s tragedy — with a translation by Robert David MacDonald — will be its inaugural production.

Don Carlos is about the icy relationship between the title character and his father, Philip of Spain. Burke noted that the political shenanigans of King Philip’s court are not a million miles away from current goings-on both in Westminster and Washington.

Burke recently starred in Strike for the BBC, in which he plays fictional private detective Cormoran Strike.

Interesting.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 10/11/2017 17:41

Want to join me in Gothenburg Apes? We can party all night Grin

ApricotCrush · 10/11/2017 17:45

That would be wonderful although I think I'm getting a bit old for that lark. Grin

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 10/11/2017 17:52

And by party all night I mean go to sleep at 10 o'clock Grin

ApricotCrush · 10/11/2017 17:57

Grin Grin

LetUsPrey · 10/11/2017 18:00

Evening wenches.

Took DS2 to opticians after school. Needs new glasses.

I bloody love Foo Fighters and I bet GnR still put on a fantastic show! Hope you get tickets Wicked.

Helen I can barely do a two arm plank so I am very impressed that you can do a one arm plank. I can’t do press ups at all. Perhaps I need an incentive Grin

Too old Apricot? Pfft. Nonsense.

So we have to empty DS2’s room and strip the wallpaper over the course of the weekend. Also have to get all DS2’s stuff named and packed. Starting to feel a bit overwhelmed by everything that needs doing, particularly bearing in mind I’m out from about 3 tomorrow and not back till very very late. So I’m sitting down, watching TV and drinking Brew.

Wine for Letus

LetUsPrey · 10/11/2017 19:40

Thanks Wicked. I shall save that for later. Off to sportingactivity with DS1, then I have to go mad with the Sharpie and some name labels. I think I’ll get all the stuff downstairs and take it from there.

Am watching some more Merlin just before I go out. —I quite like Colin Morgan—

No HBI again. It’s simply not good enough. I was so cross I didn’t even listen for any innuendo from the other still quite nice, very flexible, even more fighty instructor.

DH was busy earlier outlining suggested plans for tomorrow. I pointed out I’d be starting to get ready from about 2 and that I’d need a lift to my sister’s. He seemed surprised that I was going out. To be honest, I have only mentioned it several times over the course of the last couple of weeks

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 10/11/2017 22:53

Oh FFS, and there I was logging back in specifically to check for HBInnuendos Wink
The best incentive for press-ups is imagining the HBF underneath you. Though of course that leaves the question of exactly why you would want to push up again.

We have been watching Man from Uncle. With suitable commentary. And occasional pauses and rewinds - purely to make sure we understood the plot. Grin And to admire the work of costume/make-up.

Re. TB theatre. FFS, that's not touring theatre - it's a mooch along the South Coast. Touring Theatre should reach the sticks (never going to happen). Friedrich Schiller is the one who wrote William Tell, which TB was doing something with last week? Time flies, but I think it was last week? And the director is the one who did Juan Comes Back from the War [[https://www.theguardian.com/stage/2007/nov/10/theatre]]

Night all. Have a fab time tomorrow LetUs Are you doing the stripping, or getting a stripper in for the occasion Wink Grin

LetUsPrey · 10/11/2017 23:09

The only stripping happening this weekend will be the wallpaper coming off the walls Grin

Man from Uncle

Jason Momoa is on the Graham Norton Show. Seems a nice chap. Sarah Millican and Hugh Grant are on too. Both very funny Grin

Morning all. Rather soggy start to the day here. Bit tired after being kept awake by LetUs and Aramis the rain last night.

Didn't Floppers rather like Jason Momoa? Wonder if she was watching...

Laters.

LetUsPrey · 11/11/2017 09:40

Morning wenches.

She did indeed. Anne too.

Dull here as well. Ton of stuff to do. Taking DS1 shopping, dropping him at a friend’s, then starting packing DS2’s stuff. The thrillz.

mrsreynolds · 11/11/2017 10:03

Right, cards bought (birthday), charity shop drop off done, I’ve had a Brew. I’ll put another wash on and then I’m going in with the Sharpie and the name labels.
