Right I am never having another baby but friend and her hubbie having a little disagreement as she reckons that somewhere in the uk there must be a child called Wolf!!

He won't have it but we are sure there must be and want to prove him wrong - where do I find out??

WOuld so love it if anyone on here knew a wolf or had a child called wolf - obviously a boy child or it would be wolverine!!

I think it's a cool name, could always go for Wolfgang if you're not brave enough.
And I think Luke means wolf or dog if you take it back to the Ancient Greek.

tortoiseSHELL · 26/03/2007 11:56

the namewolf

Hallgerda · 26/03/2007 11:57

Well, there's always Wolfie Smith of the Tooting Popular Front.

Someone posted a link a while back to a website on which you could look up names and find out how common they were in the UK.

tortoiseSHELL · 26/03/2007 11:57

sorry that didn't work - was the bounty site - the text read....

Your name, wolf, is in position number 10401 in our 2007 list.

Last year it was in position number 7061

Marina · 26/03/2007 12:22

As Hallgerda says, for some of us this name will forever be associated with the Tooting Popular Front

GreenandBlackOtter · 26/03/2007 12:23

'Foxie'

ImmiesMum · 26/03/2007 12:24

I met a woman on Saturday night who was called Peregrine!
She didn't like it so changed it to Twinkle.
Bizzare.

lionheart · 26/03/2007 12:24

I wnet to school with a Wolfgang.

beansprout · 26/03/2007 12:25

Ds's name has gone up 8968 places in the last year!

Alas, it is not "Wolf" though. Perhaps some German or Austrian MNers could assist?

Marina · 26/03/2007 12:25

snurk GABO! That beret/sideburns combo was rather fetching though...

JonesTheSteam · 26/03/2007 12:38

That's a fab site.

My dad is one of only 4, and my mum is unique.

I would have been unique too, before I got married.

Love it!!!!!

CadburyCremeSquonk · 26/03/2007 12:41

That is brilliant - there are 142 of me, but only 20 if I take dp's name!

WanderingTrolley · 26/03/2007 12:43

[pedantic shudder]

ImmiesMum · 26/03/2007 12:44

What a brilliant site.
I'm one of three!- makes me want to find the others.

cupcakes · 26/03/2007 12:44

Wolf

MrsBadger · 26/03/2007 12:44

I specifically didn't type the name of the site because my internal pedant wouldn't let me...

cupcakes · 26/03/2007 12:45

I'm one of three too.
