I have just eaten the biggest chili ever. Made it on Sunday. Silly old Hugh Ferny Whatsisname recipe. Three days in fridge. With huge scoop of soured cream. May not need to eat again til Sunday.

I've only seen the first one of 1066 as neighbour away with work so no spoilers on who wins the battle 😆😆😆.

I think Mr C has got it in for Dan Snow over something to do with the boat race. Not sure what. It's a long held acrimony. I've been listening to the history hit podcasts when I'm out running for a while and they're often v interesting about all sorts of stuff I don't know about. He's rather charming. And, importantly, tall. Right up your street Letus and mine. .

No other interesting news. Pool filter broken so that's a massive pain in the ass for the weekend (commiserated with Apes ref expenses). The cable machine thing is still in my hall and is a graveyard of bags and smelly towels. I'm going to hulk out if I get back from work tomorrow and it's still there. Haven't energy to deal with it now. And I've eaten too much to get up again.

4. J'ai sent Dr Aramis a la Chateau Fancy to check on fancy's blood pressure. She's already having a lie-down, so why waste the effort she's gone to?

6. And will send Dr Athos to Badders with his own special remedy for migraines (suspect it is similar to the ointments he brought to the Chalet yesterday, mais what the heck.

I went to give blood once. Unfortunately the needle went right through my vein and the blood ended up inside my arm instead of outside. I had a huge diamond-shaped bruise from my wrist up to my underarm. I wasn't brave enough to do it again.

The second one got several rounds of applause from chairlifts going overhead I have a cracking bruise on my hip - what do you think Dr Athos would recommend?
Snowmen built - one two - some bastards knocked down the first one
Hot chocolates on the slopes - one round

HBFs - plentiful supply, though some with man-buns.
