So sad to hear about Zombie tonight & cant find a new thread now that the keep the home fires thread is full?
Is there one?
Such a wonderful woman who will be missed by so so many people.
No words seem enough, just wanted to raise a glass 🥃 to toast the legend that is Zombie & the legacy she's left behind.x

When I went for the gender scan with DS2, I asked her to tell me, she said it was a boy, I said "how sure are you?" She said "there's a definite scrotum!"

He's in bed now, we had roast lambs' hearts, roast potatoes, sprouts, carrots and peas, I'm in bed now too.

Morning! I gave up on sleep around 4, MNed, got up at 4.35, DS2 got up at 5.25, he had coco pops, watching Ninjago, he's simultaneously playing it on his tablet.

Morning, Bath. DS2 decided AGAIN that he'd rather be up between midnight and 2am 😩. Combine that with the fact that I didn't get much sleep with the sleepover the previous night and it's safe to say I've felt better.

Malcolm thanks, I actually wasn't an original phalanxer, I spoke to Zombie after I had a bereavement a few years back and just kept talking. Even with everything she had going on she took the time out to message me.

She supported me through a few things although I hope towards the end it was more the other way round. Most notably my mam's cancer diagnosis, she was so happy when she got the all clear despite I think knowing at that point she wouldn't.

Selfishly I found the phalanx threads too upsetting to join in. I put on my big girl pants and joined in the last two or three because I was awed by the support she received from other posters going through so much themselves.

We ended up friends on FB because she didn't think MN would approve of my sending magic medicine out too her.

That turned into an essay. I think Z would prefer people talking about her life not her death today, I bet there is a few stories out there.

I also wasn't very brave about joining the phalanx threads, though I did read them for most of last year. In the summer Zombie PMed me about something I'd said on another thread. We chatted a bit and then she began sending me links to these threads whenever there was a new one.
So I got the hint and joined in!
She was a great one for bringing people together.

Life remains busy and I find I don't have the attention span for a long running thread . That was one of the main reasons I did not really join any of the Phalanx threads until v recently - just popped up every know and then and waved uselessly.

I find myself thinking of Zombie daily. I hope she knows that , somehow
