Damn right Sassy 1 second over and she'd have been dunked headfirst in the Thames! Grin

SassynSane · 11/02/2017 19:23

Brilliant Bath Grin Am slightly in awe of your time keeping....do try this end but it usually goes awry....ah well, more Wine?

MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles · 11/02/2017 20:11

So sorry to hear about your DD, Unborn, how is she now? And how are you feeling? My DD2 was in and out of hospital for the first few years of her life, so I entirely sympathise with the fold-out chair aspect!

Absolutely understand re details of the funeral not made public. Perhaps as Candy/Zombie was such a public figure on here, and the vigil for her passing was such a massive thread/threads that this way they can 'reclaim' a bit of her privately for her family. I get that and totally respect it. My thoughts and best wishes are with all of her family and close friends, as always. Flowers

DS2 not yet in bed! He had a massive nap earlier and now is wide awake. Oh well. It doesn't happen often. I obviously need a leaf out of your book, Bath!

BathshebaDarkstone · 11/02/2017 20:40

DS2 tends to do that at weekends as well Malcolm. He goes to bed, but lies awake until about 9. He didn't do it today because they were building Lego, so needed the light on. He was in bed by 6 and went straight to sleep.

ExitPursuedBySpartacus · 11/02/2017 20:56

I'm ok thanks.

SassynSane · 11/02/2017 21:08

Glad to hear that Exit Smile

BathshebaDarkstone · 11/02/2017 21:24

BathshebaDarkstone · 11/02/2017 21:25

Hi Exit

ExitPursuedBySpartacus · 11/02/2017 21:32

Yo.

UnbornMortificado · 11/02/2017 21:43

Malcolm recovering thanks. There was a lot of children on the ward much more poorly Sad At least appendicitis is pretty fixable.

Sorry your DD had such a rough start, five days is nowt in the grand scheme of things Flowers

mineofuselessinformation · 11/02/2017 21:45

Just popping in to say that although I'm not part of the phalanx, Zombie, her friends and family are still in my thoughts.

MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles · 11/02/2017 22:03

I'm glad she's recovering, Unborn. What a traumatic thing for you all to go through. I agree about it being a real eye-opener when you're in hospital. Being there for such a relatively long time I got to meet several long-term patients and it really made me aware of a world that I never really knew existed before. I got to know a couple of the parents as friends and we are still in touch. DD2 is now a perfectly normal grumpy 9 year old and can't remember a thing about it. Which is nice for her.

Exit, really lovely to see you. Hope you're doing okay.

Sassy and Bath, hope you've had a good evening with all the Wine. My headache is still lurking so I'm not partaking at the moment, but I'm with you in spirit!

Night, all.

SassynSane · 11/02/2017 22:13

Switched to Brew now to make sure I can make the most of Sunday! Hope you have a peaceful night Malcom and wake up headache free in the morning Smile

Night everyone, sleep well.

BathshebaDarkstone · 12/02/2017 08:17

Morning! Drinking Brew, had a whole tub of cheese and roasted shallot rolls, ignoring Match of the Day, the DC are playing in their room. Grin

Morning, Bath! Morning, all!

Just sorting the two littlest Malcolms with their milk and breakfast, then I'm going to make myself a nice coffee and start some more crocheting. Hoping for a nice relaxing day today!

Hope everyone else has a good one!

Fiderer · 12/02/2017 09:16

I'm still around. FidGirl has dyed her hair red Hmm for Candy & I can't say a damn thing as she reminds me how she & Candy used to gang up on me & Candy would tell her to do as she wanted. She knows I'm sad so I get a hug as well as the "Don't mope" speech only a 14 yr old can give you.

MrsDilligaf · 12/02/2017 09:26

Absolutely understand that the details remain private. I'll be raising a toast to Zombie on St Valentine's day.

@UnbornMortificado - If the family are happy to accept donations to the Hospice I will gladly contribute.

Hope your DD is okay and that you also manage to get a bit of a rest after sleeping on hospital chairs.

SassynSane · 12/02/2017 09:38

Morning everyone Brew

Hi Fid Liking the sound of your DD's hair but then have also sported lots of different hair colours over the years. Glad she's giving you hugs!

Echo nice relaxing day Malcolm hope everyone has a good Sunday Smile

Fiderer · 12/02/2017 09:44

Unborn Hope your daughter's well now. Do understand the untangling dad thing, my 3 never stay with him apart from a few days in the school hols as he's too far away but the emotional upheaval is immense & escalates when he visits.

I spent a night in hospital with FidGirl a couple of years ago. They gave me a camp bed, a mum came in v late at night too late for one with her v young daughter. As the girl was so unsettled & FidGirl was fine with me in bed with her, I gave her my camp bed. She asked for my address the next morning, I though maybe a Thank You card. Her husband works in a winery (am in ForrinWineLand) & I got a box of wine. 6 lovely bottles.

BathshebaDarkstone · 12/02/2017 09:45

Hi Fid! I've missed you! I stopped posting as much because posting about my day didn't seem appropriate.

BathshebaDarkstone · 12/02/2017 09:50

Wow Fid she must have been very grateful!

I got a chair bed when DD1 was in when she was a baby. That was not comfortable!

MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles · 12/02/2017 09:57

Fid! Missed you but understand the need to take time for yourself. Thinking of you.

When I was younger, not only did I dye my hair several different shades, I also convinced my friend to perm it! My poor mother!

As for my relaxing day, I've just noticed the ironing pile...😩

BathshebaDarkstone · 12/02/2017 10:11

The DC had coco pops, Shreddies and multivitamins (thanks MN!) and watched the weirdness which is Adventure Time, they're back in their room now, on their tablets. Smile

MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles · 12/02/2017 10:26

Sassy, our snow dance worked, it's been snowing here all morning, but it's so flipping wet on the ground that none of it's settling!!! Angry
