So sad to hear about Zombie tonight & cant find a new thread now that the keep the home fires thread is full?
Is there one?
Such a wonderful woman who will be missed by so so many people.
No words seem enough, just wanted to raise a glass 🥃 to toast the legend that is Zombie & the legacy she's left behind.x

I might try that Malcolm thanks. Smile

BathshebaDarkstone · 06/02/2017 20:55

We complement each other Lovely! Grin

MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles · 07/02/2017 08:13

Morning, everyone. Another disturbed night with DS2 here, so I'm doubly shattered this morning?

How is everybody doing?

SassynSane · 07/02/2017 10:11

Morning Malcolm & all. Doubly shattered this end too - DD up throughout the night so empathise entirely. Had some positive news about my heart yesterday though, test results better than expected so v relieved Smile Right time for Brew & I can pass out matchsticks to help keep eyes open too Grin

BathshebaDarkstone · 07/02/2017 10:16

Morning! Great news about your heart Sassy Grin

SassynSane · 07/02/2017 10:26

Thank you Bath sooo relieved! How are things your end? x

BathshebaDarkstone · 07/02/2017 10:39

Fine thanks, BathsLad's back at home with my DM, he had a Zinger burrito for supper yesterday. When he's eating he keeps KFC in business! Grin Part of the problem with his weight is that he doesn't always have his night feeds at home, he wakes up feeling sick in the morning. I must suggest sleeping slightly propped up on pillows, so gravity can aid digestion.

SassynSane · 07/02/2017 10:50

Pleased to hear BathsLad's is home again (as are KFC clearly Wink) that's great news Flowers Sounds like a good suggestion!

MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles · 07/02/2017 11:32

Mmmmm, a Zinger Burrito . I always crave fast food when I'm tired!

Really good news about your heart, Sassy. So pleased for you!

And lovely to hear that BathsLad is home again, Bath. Does he ever join you for breakfast at the cafe? Not the same thing at all and please feel free to shoot me down, but I suffered from hyperemesis in my last two pregnancies and would often wake during the night and in the morning feeling like I was about to be sick. I found dry biscuits by the side of my bed that I could just nibble on as and when helped the most, plus a drink with a straw so I could take very small sips. Again, might not be of any use so feel free to tell me to bugger off!

DS2 is now on his third top of the day so far. He's a dribbling, snotty, sicky mess. Absolutely the right day to have his 8-month check! 😳

SassynSane · 07/02/2017 11:57

Thanks Malcolm Smile Hope your little one's check goes well later. I did the biscuit thing too whilst pregnant, found out gingernuts were my friend! Right almost lunchtime & BathsLad has me craving.... Burritos/burgers all round? 🍔

Scratchythrustgenitalhugs · 08/02/2017 07:01

So glad you had better news at your appointment sassy. Obviously a 'good' heart in all ways then Star

PotOfYoghurt · 08/02/2017 07:05

Morning all. What a week huh.

How's everyone doing?

BathshebaDarkstone · 08/02/2017 07:36

Unfortunately BathsLad can't get over here in time, he has to do meds and physio every morning, although I managed to do that and still get him and DD1 to school on time every morning. Hmm I keep meaning to ask him to lunch there. He and DD2 were supposed to have a joint birthday party there last year, but he had to go into hospital. Sad

BathshebaDarkstone · 08/02/2017 07:40

Meant to also say, I'll suggest to him about biscuits and a drink with a straw. Smile

BathshebaDarkstone · 08/02/2017 07:49

Morning! All fine chez Darkstone. We've got our coats on ready for school. Smile

MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles · 08/02/2017 08:23

Scratchy and Pot! Lovely to see you! Hope all well at your end.

You're very organised, Bath! It's usually a mad dash at around 8.40ish here!

How's your DD, Sassy? Feeling better, I hope.

As for me, DS2 slept through last night! It's amazing what a difference an uninterrupted night's sleep makes.

Ah well, off to start rounding up the troops!

SassynSane · 08/02/2017 08:48

Morning everyone Smile

Aww thanks Scratchy that made really smile!

Bath and anyone else that might be interested, came across this thread last night about various MN sorting out crochet meet ups to help those of us who have no clue! Am going to see if I can make one as would like to do some squares if I can Smile

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/other_subjects/2841364-crochet-for-candy?pg=5&order

Glad your night wasn't disturbed Malcolm, sleep deprivation is a killer! DD still off poorly, hoping she can go back for last 2 days of term I really need to go into work!

Right I'll get the kettle on for Brew when everyone gets back from the school run!

PotOfYoghurt · 08/02/2017 08:54

I've always wanted to learn how to crochet. I have a memory of my nanna teaching me when I was a child, I don't think I can remember now though. I've been thinking of taking it up though for Woolly Hugs.

How's BathLad been this week?

What's the weather doing back home? I'm still in NZ and have freckles sprouting all over me. And I saw a lovely red dress in a shop window which made me smile.

SassynSane · 08/02/2017 08:59

Ooh where in NZ Pot? Lots of relatives over there and been out a few times....love it!

Stay over there....it's bloody freezing here at the mo! Clouds building up my end though can still see the sun a little....jealous of your freckles Wink

MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles · 08/02/2017 09:21

Pot, do it! I started to teach myself just over a week ago and I'm absolutely loving it! PM me if you would like any help with You Tube tutorials, etc and the ladies on Woolly Hugs are fabulous!

Sorry to hear DD is still poorly, Sassy. There's so much about at the moment! Hope she feels better soon and doesn't drive you insane!

PotOfYoghurt · 08/02/2017 09:36

I'm down on the South Island, about halfway between Christchurch and Dunedin.

I'm off to bed now but will check in again until the morning!

Enjoy your coldness everyone!

SassynSane · 08/02/2017 09:40

Thanks Malcolm....it's the trying to work from home today that is going to drive me insane! Difficult juggling DD is going to have square eyes from the tv

How was the 8mth check yesterday? All ok I hope Smile

SassynSane · 08/02/2017 09:41

Even more jealous Pot, south island is gorgeous!

BathshebaDarkstone · 08/02/2017 10:23

I have to be Malcolm! Otherwise it's a 15 minute sprint to school! None of us like to be rushed.

Thanks Sassy I'll check that out.

Pot BathsLad's doing great thanks. We're arranging to meet up here in the Sainsbury's café for lunch the Saturday after next.

I'd love to live on South Island, I've been told the climate's very like Scotland? Do you ever take your jumper off? Grin

The weather here is grey and cold. Sad

MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles · 08/02/2017 11:02

8 month check was fine, thanks Sassy. All boxes ticked and he's between the 50th and 75th centile, which is where he was when born, so all good.

Not so good was the fact that the appointment was right in the middle of nap time 😩 so neither child got a nap. By the time we got home, there was only 45 mins or so before we had to go out again to do the school run, so not enough time then either. Yesterday afternoon was truly awful and I must admit to a rather large glass of Baileys once they had gone to bed!

Lunch at the cafe sounds lovely, Bath. Lucky BathsLad! Hope he's feeling okay, by the way.

I'd love to visit NZ too. My parents went a couple of years ago and said it was amazing. Their photos were stunning. I was rather jealous!
