So sad to hear about Zombie tonight & cant find a new thread now that the keep the home fires thread is full?
Is there one?
Such a wonderful woman who will be missed by so so many people.
No words seem enough, just wanted to raise a glass 🥃 to toast the legend that is Zombie & the legacy she's left behind.x

Malcolm it's better then my efforts would be. My hands shake (medication not alcohol) I doubt I could thread a needle.

I'm going to do a standing order to Woolley Hugs in honour of Z.

I'd much rather be able to do something practical but I think she'd understand. I did have someone see a FB post I shared on candy hugs and joined MN just to do some squares so that's something.

Good luck at CAMHS. Top tip. Whatever they say or agree to do follow it up I writing confirming what's been agreed with timescales. They are buggers for saying "you must have misunderstood".

From what I have seen in my extremely limited experience, Woolly Hugs runs on people donating whatever they can manage, whether that's squares or donations. Without donations, they wouldn't be able to buy yarn (get me with the lingo!) and so the project wouldn't be open to those who can't afford their own. Zombie seemed to me to be all about inclusivity, so I think she'd approve.

I've been ill for 1 year 3 months. Hospital tomorrow. Going to ask for blood test for NET. GP has also referred me for a brain CT as I keep losing the ability to speak and have loads of other symptoms. Been very unwell these past few days. Hate being ill. I want to get on with jobs .

The TV was showing Homes Under the fucking Hammer! At least there were toys. The clinician didn't think that DS2 had ADHD, the team will discuss it and decide if they can help him.

Tonight the Baileys has been marvellously replenished and I have had a glass while crocheting a square for Candy's Hugs. My first ever thing I've crocheted and I was able to do it for her. She truly is such an inspiration.

DD1, who is nearly 13, saw what I was doing and asked me about it. I explained about Zombie and Candy's Hugs. DD1 is a keen knitter and she asked if she could join in. She's doing a wonderfully stripy square in bright orange and green much better than mine.

So it's been a peaceful evening and I hope everyone else has had a peaceful one too (unless you've had too much !).

Ugh, Bath, I feel your pain!

Is it a good thing or a bad thing re the non-ADHD? I can imagine it's good in as much as that can be crossed off the list but bad because that would have given you a plan and a reason/cause.

Hope you're feeling okay about it.

That's it in a nutshell Malcolm. I've asked them for any strategies to help me to communicate with him, and to help him to cope at school. He finds a structured day difficult.

Xpost. Bath DH had a mistaken ADHD diagnosis that turned out to be MH related (not saying what as it's quite a rare problem and I'm not unnecessarily going to worry you)

Could it be something like that? A few symptoms of depression and anxiety can be similar to ADHD symptoms. I've had depression from a very young age and I had a pretty much perfect childhood.

Unborn I think I agree with him mostly, I'll wait to find out if we'll get more sessions, and if they can help us. I'm reserving judgement for now.
