Such a wonderful woman who will be missed by so so many people.
No words seem enough, just wanted to raise a glass 🥃 to toast the legend that is Zombie & the legacy she's left behind.x

MsMozart you said what I've been thinking for days. This vigil has changed me too. I'm feeling more sure that my post retirement will focus on the comfort of the dying. The thought of those who are alone in the journey makes me very sad. I shall figure out how to be of small help.

You of the Old Guard I am in awe of your kind and faithful love and support. I do wish I had found you last year when I was immersed in losing. I believe being here now is the first step in healing. Thank you for letting me in.

The Phalanx is here to stay

I keep seeing the Phalanx marching together forward as a unit through thick and thin.
They march together proud and wobbly, strong and sozzled and as they march they chant the Phalanx marching beat..

There are enough of us to provide support and comfort to those who may be terrified at their diagnosis.

Doctor Two an excellent plan

I found a lump on the back of my neck at Christmas. Thought nothing of it, then realised it's stll here and got a bit bigger. I saw the doc today. Last night I was scared and couldn't sleep. I'd not told anyone because I'm tired of being wonky and I wanted to be able to say it's okay. Thankfully it is okay. I thought of Zombie and of others who didn't get to hear those words. I'll happily stand up, polished spear in hand and shield to the ready to protect and support others

Ok big breath....I know am just a mere lurker (been on MN on & off for years but NC & infrequent poster) but I need to face up to something....so....I have a heart issue at the mo. Will find out a bit more next week bloody terrified as am single parent & hopefully no shields will be required but good to know they are there should I need them xx

I'd like to know when, roughly, the funeral is. I am a practicing Christian and there is a chapel where I work which I would go to at the allotted time.

On a lighter note - DH is away next week, 11/12 and I think zombie wold approve a trip to the pub?
