So sad to hear about Zombie tonight & cant find a new thread now that the keep the home fires thread is full?
Is there one?
Such a wonderful woman who will be missed by so so many people.
No words seem enough, just wanted to raise a glass 🥃 to toast the legend that is Zombie & the legacy she's left behind.x

Having a glass of wine here. Candle lit. May have a tiny snifter of whiskey in order of the great lady. Also heard today of the death of another lady I counted as a friend but never met in real life. I hope they bump into each other up there.

Fly high dear Zombie, you will be missed and remembered by so many.

I haven't been on Mumsnet for some time now and can't remember a time when I directly exchanged words with Zombie, but of course I knew her as a poster and followed her story both here and on Facebook. I have logged in especially to add to the messages here.

Weirdly I slept well last night and woke refreshed and peaceful. Maybe it was knowing Zombie was at peace and no more pain.

I agree, it would feel strange not to be on here. Have drunk to Zombie tonight and have been thinking of the Phalanx too. You guys are kind of awesome. Zombie would be proud.

Does half a tin of Celebrations left over from Christmas count as a worthy celebration of DameZomie's (I've given her an Honour) life?

I hope it does because that would make that binge worth it - I feel a bit queasy...

I hope all these messages are bringing comfort to Zombie's family. Most of us never met Zombie. Lots never even talked to her on here yet we all feel bereft, sad, lost, needing each other

I lit it candle in spirit as I'm so accident prone I'd have burnt the house down.
